Criticizing what the team did and playing wannabe GM/head coach like a lot of fans do, constantly waving that "I COULDA DONE A BETTER DRAFT/COACHED A BETTER GAME THAN THIS!" is what drives many posters here.

If that's what makes following the team 'fun' for them, I might not share their view but to each his own.
I could have been a better actor than Tom Cruise, but I had a flat tire in Ft. Worth on my way to Hollywood.

Been stuck here ever since.

I said during the bye week waiting for the playoffs and you either know that or are being obtuse because you even argued against yourself in trying to argue with with me.

I was making a point that we had a great draft, we had a great season, we had a bye week and home field advantage through the playoffs and people...like you...were making threads complaining about stuff.

..so again...Spare me ...sound familiar?

I correctly stated that this type of self-evaluation of past drafts (complaining as you call it) occurs all the time in the Cowboys front office. Yes, even during a bye week or lead up to a playoff game.

You combatively replied, "no they are working on game plans and personnel for the up coming games."

Stephen Jones:

“McClay and I put our heads together
all the time—How are we gonna be better next year?” Jones said over the phone on Tuesday night. “The parts we did miss, why? And believe it or not, we’re saying, ‘How did it happen that happen that we took [Charles] Tapper ahead of Dak [Prescott]? Gotta be better than that. How do we learn from those situations, so we can be better in the future?”

That's how successful front offices work, they multitask and are in a constant state of self-evaluation. No idea why you'd think everyone at The Star would be focused like a laser beam on game planning for this upcoming game. That's not Stephen Jones or Will McClay's job duties.

If our front office can nitpick a successful '16 draft, I think fans on a discussion forum should be able to bring up lost opportunities re: less successful drafts without being labeled as complainers. Unless you think Stephen Jones is complaining as well.

Staubach 10th round 1964.
but he dropped far due to the fact he had a Military stint to be off to before being able to play......Teams knew he was a talent, most decided not to wait

2016 draft is really impressive. I'm glad Peter King is giving Dallas it's props. That's why the draft is so important. I'm glad we didn't select Ramsey in the first. Dallas found a contributor at CB in the later rounds.

I hope individuals come to realize that drafting a cornerback in the first is overrated unless that prospect is like Deion Sanders.

Hopefully Dallas will draft at the 32nd spot of this years draft and continue to draft well. I hope the team continues to build the trenches though.

I was starting to like Peter King after reading this article. Then I saw the embedded video where he picks the Packers to win by a touchdown.

What?

And this shows the complete BS about team windows. Teams don't have windows. Players do. You have a good draft class and/or FA period and suddenly your window is back open again.

It helps when you hit on the majority of your draft class. Teams dont' do that frequently AT ALL.

The second day of the draft I posted that if Jaylon Smith is healthy, we got two of the top players in the draft. The first two replies were trolls posting "LOL". I was right, we haven't event seen Smith yet and we got starters like Collins and Brown on top of it.
doesn't our hindsight say that we got three players with top five value.Dak should be included
to homerize it futher MCollins has played like a top 30 playa.
