I just don't think EE is much without an Elite QB(EE is just RB, A good one, but just a RB). I don't think any team can win without an experienced QB. Although, u know, I think Osweiller would've won with Denver last year...and there have been others that win a SB that aren't even Good QBs.....but for the most part ....No QB, no win.

It's about being competitive without Romo. Not necessarily winning, because you need a legit QB and/or pass defense for that. But being competitive.

I completely disagree. You have to go out of your way to pick the BACK UP QB as the most improved player on the team. So I think Garrett said it because he meant it. Look at it this way....after all of the "issues" we had at backup QB last year...we enter this year with a guy who has never won a NFL game in his life. So you cannot convince me that Jerry is picking these guys or forcing coaches to talk these guys up. They coaches are the ones at practice every day....breaking down film every day....in the lockeroom every day. So I think Jerry is letting his coaches know...you can have WHOMEVER you want at backup QB...but I still expect to win some games if the starter goes down.

Are you also concerned that our mostly likely starting RB has never won an NFL game in his life? It's a dumb argument.

Word is that EE is being flexed out like a WR like we saw Dunbar do. Reid used to do that with Westbrook as a staple. We might be able to have our cake and eat it too guys.

Since Al Davis passed, Dallas may be the only one now.

It actually funny someone is willing to argue the opposite. For a while, nobody believed differently.

Nobody is denying that Jerry has forced players into the mix. He has recently with both Hardy and McClain. If that was Garrett's call, neither would have ever been here. But Jerry didn't force any of these quarterbacks on Garrett - ever.

They were Garrett choices, and bad ones. Or would you care to argue the fact that our current backup is here solely based on his relationship with the offensive coordinator?

are you seriously comparing the RB position to the QB position?

You liked our QB and RB in 2014? Which one was the offensive player of the year? If we are to get back to that quality of playing, it will be because the RB is making a difference, not the man handing him the ball.

Kyle Orton never won a game in Dallas and the only one he ever started he lost.

You would think Stephen Jones would know that, You would think Albert Breer would point it out.

Excellent fact checking.

kitna had that one little stretch in 2010 where he played well. outside of that he was pretty poor also.

Compared to what Weeden and Cassel put out there, he was Dan Marino.

That was my biggest reasoning for his #4 slot. He lets the Cowboys do what they wanted to do on offense with Dunbar and still be great runner as well.

hardy was drinking a lot and his behavior was erratic? i don't recall hearing/reading that before. it would mean more than just not being a good locker room presence.

It's actually funny you still think that way. Look no further than jerry wanting Johnny football and was over ruled. Keep believing what you want but facts prove otherwise

In Jerry's defense (I cant believe I said that) who else was out there that we should/could have signed. This falls solely on Garrett. Other coaches won with him. Belichick had him looking like Montana. Garrett (a qb himself) couldnt coax 1 win

Well if that didn't put anymore pressure on Zeke, I don't know what will.

He's a freaking stud and I love him, but the hype is getting thick and seems like a lot of pressure.

I know he's the 4th pick, but whewwww I hope he pans out!
