So much for the myth of balance. The saints have 18 yards rushing and are dominating the game.
Different strokes my fellow fan.. Different strokes. I see what you tried to do there but the Saints also have a Brees/Payton combo. We don't.

The saints get creative with their routes. We don't.

So if we don't run the ball we have no chance of getting a defense to get out of this 2 deep look we're getting every week.

perhaps you haven't noticed that Peyton uses the entire field and all his weapons in his passing game. Garrett uses only passes to outside the numbers, and even the dump offs are towards the sidelines.

How have the saints put up 35 points w/ only 23 rushing yards? How is that possible? Everyone in the media, lead by nick eatman, keep harping about how the cowboys need to establish a running game or when they do get one they go away from at the first sign of adversity. I think it's trying to run the ball in a passing league is foolish. Especially when you have Romo, Dez , witten and the rest of our offensive crew. I even think Murray is a better receiver then he is a between tackles runner.

qb protection is a great thing too :)

It’s not a myth. Unless you have Brees, Manning, Rodgers or Brady. These dudes defy gravity.

Sounds like the justifications are all out in force.
No matter how you slice it, running it effectively doesn't win you football games. Throwing it effectively does. It's smart to put the resources into throwing it effectively and into stopping the other teams from doing so. If you don't have a Payton or a Brees, you better get one if you want to beat a team that does.

How, indeed?

They run a ton of short nicely designed to get Sproles, a shifty back, in space. Which is basically a long handoff. They have very creative playbook

Right on. I can't believe more teams don't do this consistently. Its nothing new. The Minnesota Vikings were doing it in 1977.

Actually it does. I take it you subscribe to the Adam “running doesn’t matter” theology. Running does matter. It effects many aspects of a football game. Some elite QBs defy that logic but it still holds true after all these years.

Oh. Forgot to mention to Idgit. We also don't have anything that remotely resembles the likes of Sproles. The Saints have weapons squared on offense. We have 2 & a possible.

Could the reason for that is Romo cant read the entire field and make all the throws. This is what I always harp on that kitna made those reads and throws back in 2010.
