Deuce Vaughn, Mike Weber, Bo Scarbrough and Darius Jackson say hi. Those are the backs we've drafted after the fourth round since 2016. Could go back earlier that and add more to that the list. In fact, the only real success we've had with backs from the fourth round beyond Pollard in the 2000s was Marion Barber. That 2 out of 8 (25%) that proved to be starter quality, although the jury is still out on Vaughn.

If we need one, I'd rather take that player in the first three rounds. Since 2000, we've drafted four and depending on how you look at it, at least two were starter quality (Elliott and Murray). A case could be made for Julius Jones as well, and to a much lesser extent for Felix Jones.
