Indeed. But boy what a hit his star has taken. Guy has the HC act on, but has done some head scratching stuff. No wonder Mike Nolan thought he wasn't ready for HC job, the year before Nolan was fired.

I love Dez, but Iupati was my top guy.

I was reading on a 49ers forum where he hasn't looked all that impressive.

Granted, its been probably a month since then.. but there was a lot of pining over not taking Pouncey. Maybe Iupati has been better as of late; I don't watch a ton of 49ers games.
