How many of those sacks was because he held onto the ball too long? I'd say more than not. His pocket awareness was terrible. There were routes open but either he didn't see them or tried to find someone better. And Minnesota coaching kept calling longer developing routes for big plays, even knowing their OL wasn't holding up.

KOC now has not had his team ready for his 2nd playoff game. They let Daniel Jones beat them at home a few years ago.
I don't disagree......but there's few old phrases....."Happy feet"....."Rattled"......"Get 'em dirty"......"Deer in headlights"......a QB tends to start rushing or ducking for his life, under constant duress. And yes, Darnold could have thrown some balls away.....but that doesn't take away there were very few "Clean pockets" (OL?) and maybe, just maybe some better adjustments by the coaching staff to make Rams play a bit more honest (coaching?) to examine too. Not exonerating Darnold, but I ain't placing all at his feet......but he is the only one whose market values went down, in the past 2 weeks.

Some of those sacks were all on him. He held on to the ball way too long a few times and could have thrown it away.

To me it looks like Sam Darnold's coach turned back into a pumpkin. What we've seen of him his last two games is what he was in the past. If Dak played that poorly you know what fans here would do to him.
.....well we know........Dak gets no sympathy on this board. He'd get criticized for saving children in a burning building. No comparisons one bit.....but imagine if Hurts, Allen, Lamar, Burrows, Mahomes went through being sacked 9 times and pressured several more plays........I'd take my chances that their team probably gets beat.

In defense of Sam Darnold......no QB survives 9 sacks and constant pressure all game. Minny may want to reexamine their OL. Rams watched film of the Detroit game.
No doubt. But definitely should've thrown the ball away on that fumble.

And O'Connell should've went for the 4th down on the opposite end. Knowing their offensive line wasnt doing their job, you have to do something to keep yourself in the game and force the Rams to do something different, or they'll keep sending the heat.

It would've helped if Darnold would've hit his shots early, that would've also changed the way Rams played it. But he didn't, and Stafford made the most of his opportunities.

The game was over when he fumbled and they returned it for a Touchdown.

I'd say it's on the offensive line first, then OConnell, then Darnold.

Have to agree....Darnold could have done several things better, but glad you mentioned OL and Coach they're in line for blame too.
