Mo Claiborne Update

Well that's no help

Do you know anyone who has stayed in a Holiday Inn lately?

I think Fuzzy might have read up on what staying in a Holiday Inn entails, but then for some reason that pissed everybody off. Now we just guess or hope somebody sends us the information in an email.

Where's Doc when you need him

This injury is similar to the familiar lateral malleolar (ankle) sprain with avulsion of the distal tip of the fibula. Some of you may have had that, and it is simply immobilized in a boot for 3-4 weeks, then a stirrup for another 2 weeks, and allowed to heal on its own. The connective tissue grows and re-attaches on its own, and doesn't require surgery.

The difference with the pelvic avulsion that Mo has is that it is essentially impossible to successfully immobilize, so it usually takes a full 8 weeks to heal.

Man we are in such a good spot right now. There's a decent chance that wins against the Giants and Bucs lock up the #1 seed without needing the last 2 games. Could really go a long way toward letting guys like Mo rest up as long as possible to play in the playoffs, especially with a 1st round bye.

Mo has said he will be back end of the regular season. He needs to get some game action before playoffs start.

As somebody who has done this himself..it takes forever to heal and reinjuring it is very easy. It took doctors months to figure mine out. Thought I had hernia..epidydmitis..torsion.
Doctor told me a year. Did it in April pulling up plants in new house. Pain is excruciating and seems like I relapse every few months.
Went in the attic to take out Christmas stuff and starter hurting again.
Hopefully his doctor is better than mine.

We need the secondary back in full force come playoff time. It's the only unit on the defense that can make our overall defense decent. Without a complete secondary and with our awful pass rush, we're very vulnerable on defense. I don't think there's any fixing the pass rush this season, so our only hope is that the secondary plays at a high enough level to give the D-line some more time to get to the QB.
