I was there today and saw him go down. Immediately thought "here we go again.." But he walked it off later. He should be fine.

On the other hand, Mo was really impressive at camp today. It was my first visit to training camp this year, but from what I saw he was really good. He had a nice INT during the scrimmage on a fade route
Thanks for posting this.

Based on? Why don't we see him play when completely healthy first?

It wasn't an all pro after his 2nd year in his 2nd defensive scheme. Duh he's a huge bust! How dare he be slow at adjusting to the game! I forgot that Patrick Peterson have up 7 TD's last year. I'm not giving up on Mo especially considering he has been a really big standout in camp for the first time since he was drafted. I will take the 3 year rule over some internet wannabes that couldn't hold a candle to this guys ability.

Everybody was screaming how Scandrick sucked, but given time, Scandrick improved immensely. Same thing with a guy like Claiborne. Also, you can't really expect much from your corners if QBs have all day to throw. Until we start investing some resources on the line, it doesn't matter who we have back there as corner.

And we're done here.

Heck...and following the burn barrel routine, just when I had the tar bucket on the porch, all warmed up and with a mop in it. Jerry time...(chuckling to self)

OXNARD, Calif. — Cornerback Morris Claiborne is the latest to join a growing list of players on the Dallas Cowboys’ injury report.

Claiborne didn’t leave practice early, but injured his right knee while going up for a ball late in Wednesday’s afternoon practice. He was scheduled to get it X-rayed, owner Jerry Jones said, and it was unknown if he would require an MRI on it.

“My feet just got stuck in the ground, cleats got stuck in the ground … twisted,” Claiborne said.

Claiborne has been one of the better players early on in camp, in Jones’ mind. Claiborne intercepted a pass from Tony Romo earlier in the session and has shown a better approach from Day 1.

Jones was somewhat optimistic because trainer Jim Maurer didn’t express the same level of concern as he did with defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on Tuesday.

“Jim Maurer felt pretty good about it,” Jones said. “He for instance didn’t have the same level of concern that he had yesterday regarding the sensitivity that we had with Lawrence.”

Claiborne, the sixth overall pick in the 2012 draft, has not lived up to his hype and has battled injuries his first two seasons.

Witnesses at the practice have said Mo walked off after the incident and seemed OK. No doubt, he'll be examined further and subsequent reports will follow. Claiborne deserves the benefit of the doubt here. Even if he has to take time off, players aren't responsible for injuries that simply occur beyond their control. Does Claiborne actually want to be injured? Of course not. He's reportedly been THE standout player in the offseason, the OTAs and in camp thus far. Let's not be trigger-happy with this guy.

Cleats might be a little long for the grass. I pulled my hamstring wearing the wrong cleats playing slow pitch softball this summer.

Nine seasons at Oxnard. Think that the conditions on the field may have changed? Or players not getting enough imput on how to survive a variety of surfaces at stadiums?

Sometimes these guys put on a broken in pair instead of the pair the trainers say. Who knows.

But this kind of twist can happen if you're wearing the wrong cleats, like for rainy/muddy conditions.

Can also happen if you wear grass cleats on artificial turf.

Lol...it still boils down to pride in not appearing on next morning's sick, lame, and lazy list and miss unit training.

Blisters, staff infections, and broken bones is a hard process for a 'rook' to learn through. Here is a point where the team should step in with on-the-sport corrections and eduction.
