And not for the usual reasons.

He is a pick or two away from either having to pay him a fortune or watching him (likely) play good ball elsewhere.

Hes the best player on our d right now by a mile.

I'm loving his swagger right now... he's really figured this out just wait until the picks start happening. Stoked for Mo

Luckily, he had so many ... not good ... years. But he's 26, and a very good corner, so he will get paid.

Had a couple plays tonight I didn't like, one came where he and Sean Lee allowed a jump ball and Jeffrey still somehow got the first down. It wasn't bad coverage at all, just the tackling was bad by both.

The one with White was just a freak catch, kudos to White. Could be a great player once he's back up to speed.

I hope he continues to ball out. Claiborne is a guy I would not feel comfortable giving out huge guaranteed money to.

He's going to get a big mostly pay-as-you-go deal. Probably from us. He's presenting an interesting challenge for us.

Wonder if we cut Carr, franchise Mo, and have a very healthy OScan with Brown in the slot.
That's what I would do. But Oscan isn't that great on the outside and Brown isn't ready to be a full time nickel (he may be next year).

I don't understand the salary cap as well as some dudes on this board, but if we can have Dak starting ehhhhh next year or the one after, we have cheap labor at a premium spot and can afford some spending. Down for a big 1-2 year upfront guaranteed money on Mo, then 2-3 years of show me money deal if he continues to play well. 4 year deal, loaded up front.

I think 6-7 million a year is where I would max out

I think if the season ended today he would get at least 7 per year from someone, based on pedigree. Shoot me, but for some reason I feel like in this case, I'd rather it be us. I'm still annoyed we didn't keep newman.

If I'm the gm, 5 years 30 mil. 12ish guaranteed. All in. He can gamble on his own hamstrings if that won't do it.
