I think if the season ended today he would get at least 7 per year from someone, based on pedigree. Shoot me, but for some reason I feel like in this case, I'd rather it be us. I'm still annoyed we didn't keep newman.

Newman certainly went on to have a good career after us. But he would have had a much larger role staying here, and he simply just wasn't a #1 anymore and I don't think he is even a true #2. Just a savvy vet.

If he'd sign that, it's a no brainer.

I don't think he would. Preseason yes, but not now.

If he gets a few pics and stats health it's 10 per and I'm out.

If he misses 4 or 5 games you can get another year for 4 or 5 mil.

For some reason he just doesn't look frail to me this year. Hes bulked up and looks like an nfl player.

I hope he balls out and gets paid......by Dallas. I do not want to see Carr and Mo leave in the same off-season. If they do, then there goes an early round draft pick for a corner.

I think Newman left us a bit too early, don't make the same mistake again as long as he plays well.

There's a lot of the season still to come. I love what Mo is doing right now, but it's way too early. Plus competition will step up after SF next week. After SF there will be Carson Wentz Co., AJ green, and Aaron Rodgers and Co. Let's see how he does after that.

If we are still talking about him then like we are now, then Dallas can start worrying about his FA status. I personally think Dallas may not have any choice but to pay him. Dallas doesn't really have a lot depth at the CB position. Carr doesn't have a real future with Dallas and he's probably nothing more than a solid depth CB who could start for a bad team. Scandrick still has a long ways back and who knows if he'll ever be that CB prior to his injury. I like Byron Jones at FS, not sure I'm willing to move him back to CB. Dallas needs Mo to play extremely well as much as Mo needs to play extremely well.

Contract year. Nothing more. This is finally his best season and it's his 5th season. Nothing to get excited over and offer him an extension.

I think he is in line for a Kareem Jackson type deal

Somewhat similar careers. Jackson was awful his first couple of season before turning it around

And not for the usual reasons.

He is a pick or two away from either having to pay him a fortune or watching him (likely) play good ball elsewhere.

Hes the best player on our d right now by a mile.
Mo is strictly CFL in play.
How far have we fallen to consider him our best player on the D?

If I'm the gm, 5 years 30 mil. 12ish guaranteed. All in. He can gamble on his own hamstrings if that won't do it.
I agree that Sir Jones would OK that.
It is not necessarily a good thing for us.

Oh so last year wasn't a contract year for him? People develop at different speeds dude
I think his a little fragile mentally and also physically. But his the man on the field right now in his "show me year"
and he did. He ain't signing for 6M average

Better sign him now because if he keeps this up he'll be playing for another team next season.

Torn on the team re-signing him.

He has done well since 2015. But his injury past scares me. Last thing we need is a re-signed Claiborne in 2017 and he gets injured in TC again and loses confidence.

Even when White, who is a speedster, beat MO, MO still was in position and made a play on the ball. What's his completion percentage against through 3 games?

Still, if he make a few picks this season, he will get PAID. If not, lower case paid.
