Here is my attempt at a mock. I have taken some thoughts around various websites, seen what people have pulled here

Round 2 (51) - Jairus Byrd - CB/S. Oregon
Round 3 (69) - Dorell Scott - DT, Clemson
Round 4 (97) - Antoine Caldwell - C, Alabama
Round 4(113) - Jasper Brinkley - LB, South Carolina
Round 5(148) - Joe Burnett - CB/S, Central Florida
Round 5(158) - Johnny Knox - WR, ACU
Round 5(Com)- Phillip Hunt - DE, Houston
Round 6(184) - Nathan Brown - QB, Central Arkansas

Byrd - don't think the cowboys want to committ to who only project as either a corner or safety. i think they are interested in guys who can be flexible.

Scott - he's rising, read a cowboy blog that believes they are interested in Scott, he's about 312 and appartentley has a frame to add weight.

Caldwell - can come in backup Gurode and we can get rid of Proctor. We'll have Caldwell, Holland, and McQuistan has primary backup OL

Brinkley - a big body they begin developing behind Brooking

Burnett - See Byrd, i think the cowboys want guys who can project to either corner or safety, giving them flexibility. If the cowboys don't sign another free agent DB, then taking two DBs is almost a must in the draft.

Knox - never heard of this guy before today, he's fast though which means he has return potential. You basically want him to replace Stanbeck

Hunt - sack machine from Conference USA. He can compete for a backup job behind Ware

Brown - 3rd QB who will be on roster, but probably inactive most games. Doesn't have great physical tools but has intagibles and presence as a passer.

you're missing 3 picks.

we should have a total of 11, including comp picks.

unless you've assumed trades in your mock, of course.

Not a bad mock but I do think there will be better players at 51.

Good all around value.

Knox was a punt returner and kick returner in college but didn't stand out at either. He actually stood far more as a WR.

He had over 1000 yards and had 13 TDs in only 12 games but he averaged a mere 7.3 yards per punt return and only returned 3 kickoffs for a total of 75 yards with a long of 37.

Still he could fit as a speed threat guy to be sure. We really don't need a returner so much as we need more coverage guys and a slot WR type.
