Mock 3/23

[Killerinstinct]

Now that we have an abundance of WR's on the roster
and
we have a depth LB

It is time to update my mock.

I suspect we will find a swing tackle and backup G before F.A. ends.

1. Mike Mcglinchey OT - Notre Dame - Can play RT with Collins moving to LG.

2. Jessie Bates III FS - Wake Forest - Have had my eye on him for a while and originally hoped he would be there in the 3rd. I don't think so.

3. Josey Jewell LB - Iowa - Fills a need. Seems to be falling out of favor with scouts but in the 3rd.

4. Nyheim Hines or Phillip Lindsay RB - I can't decide between the two. Both would add a dimension to our offense.

4b. Deadrin Senat DT - Provides what we have been missing on the Dline.

5. Jack Cichy LB - Would go much sooner without the injury problems. We double dip at LB.

6. Brandon Parker OT - Challenges the F.A. swing tackle for the role.

6. Skyler Phillips OG - Challenges the F.A. backup G for the role.

6. Trevon Young EDGE - Always need to look at an edge rusher.

7. Used to move up a couple of spots in the 5th to grab Cichy.

I was playing around in the fanspeak modulator ..just did a 6 round version and came up with

Came up with a few decent hauls..thought I'd share the first 6round haul...

19. G Hernandez (Ridley was avail but went oline for the sake of us having 8 wrs after hurns)
50. MLB Vander esche (rumblings)
81. LB Lorenzo carter (has pass rush ability)
116. DT BJ Hill (stout interior player Timmy Jernigan esque )
137. TE. Troy Fumagali (don't shoot me we could easily go RB here but I can see us taking the player here for numerous reasons)
171. EDGE Tyquan Lewis (the more the merrier )
192. DB Rashaun Gaulden (steal this late )
193. WR J'monn Moore (take a shot at another wr late..great size and speed type)
208. C Austin Corbett (solid player, prob will be long gone here )

That is a really, really solid draft. I want more speed at LB, so I'd select Malik Jefferson ahead of Josey Jewell, and I like Christian Sam more than Jack Cichy, but it would be very, very hard to criticize the Cowboys with your proposed draft.

I really, really want Skyler Phillips in the 6th round, and Jessie Bates in the 2nd round. Those are two of my favorite prospects. Hines is another favorite of mine in the 4th round. I also believe La'el Collins is a better Guard than Tackle, so moving him back inside, and getting McGlinchey, who I think is a better RT prospect than LT is also a good move - although I'm not big on spending yet another 1st round pick for an offensive lineman.

This might clear pathway for Hernandez or LVE tho.
