No, unless Keith Rivers falls to us at 22, I don't see us going LB in round 1. He's the only one I could see us grabbing, but he's an OLB not an ILB. I really do think we're very high on Beau Bell. He was one of the first players rumored to be coming in for a visit and has been mentioned 2 or 3 times by the writers. I just kind of figure there are whispers.

I'm interested to see what my one source will tell me as the draft approaches. By way of reminder only, I repeat "predictions" I made the last 3 years using this person's tips.

2005...Ware over Merriman.

2006...Carpenter in round 1.

2007...We'd trade back and take Anthony Spencer.
2007...Once Steve Smith, WR, USC was off the board we would trade out of round 2.

So far this person hasn't sent me anything on this year's draft class. I can't deny that I'm on the edge of my seat hoping. 3 straight years of good tips has me really excited to see what this year brings.

We hearing from the same person? Begins with a J?:laugh1:

I think we had this discussion before.

We did. Different source. You heard anything from yours? PM is fine if you prefer.

Thanks Bro..

I see a bunch of RB's that can be had in the 2-3 rnds...
I see a bunch of #2 type WR's in this years draft and no #1 types but they can be had also later in the draft...
I see very good depth/developmental O-lineman in this draft so that can be taken later...
Corners well they are always needed but this class doesn't really get me too excited...
DL now here are a couple that might fall to us that might be real good players...
LB also not a great class with Conner being the top ILB and Rivers being the top OLB (tradional 4-3)...

I just think it might be prudent to take the best player on the board and maybe ignore need this year in the 1st round...

but I doubt this happens

I wish I did. Just a bunch of scenario's but nothing even he would put his name on yet. I'll stay in contact though, it was about this time the last couple years things started getting hot.

I couldn't agree more on waiting on RB, but if one of the top 3 is there at 22, I just think we go ahead and pull the trigger. I'd actually prefer RB in the 2nd or 3rd round in a perfect world.

In all honesty, the guy I'd love to have at 22 is Branden Albert. Plug him into the OL for the next 10 years and smile.

CB is not out of the question at all, though I think the guys we covet most could be gone.

Don't go to sleep on us really making a run at Kenny Phillips. One of the reasons why I don't think the deal for Hamlin gets done any time soon might be that we're watching him closely. We acquire him and there's a chance that Hamlin or Roy Williams are expendable. That's a hell of a gamble, but I won't say it's at all impossible.

that is the one guy above all the others that I think has HOF potential written all over him... I would love to have him but I wouldn't be suprised if KC took him at #7 he is worth it regardless of what pundents might say but he likely goes before we pick with #22 and darn sure before #28

The surgery is on his hip isn't it? I would like to upgrade over Brad Johnson very badly. Just don't see much opportunity to do it. I still wish we had not waived Matt Moore.

Tell me about it. I think they regret it too now, it was silly to think we could hide him on the practice squad. He could have been a quality, inexpensive, backup to Romo for years and years.

Unless he's having Steve Austin surgery, he could only have a future in a WC off.

That could be the funniest quote I ever seen in my life, Steve Austin Surgery! :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:
