The only way Peterson lasts to the 9 pick is if he does something stupid between now and then or posts a slow 40 time. Additionally, I'm not sure he's as big of a need as most think. Although Jenkins played poorly this past season we saw what he was capable of the previous season. Also, Scandrick really played well this past year. I think McCann has a place and Newman still has another year left in him at least. I think a better scheme and better coaching will go miles. I don't hate Campo, but I think the secondary coaching owns a ton of blame.

Assuming CB Peterson will be gone by pick #9....there really isn't anyone for us worth the 9 pick...plus Jerry has proven to be a cheapskate ever since he built the stadium...and overpaid for Roy Williams

1st Round) Trade back to the late teens to pick up an extra third round pick.
Pick is one of OT Derek Sherrod, OT Gabe Carimi, or OT Nate Solder in that order. We need a RT badly and trading back a bit should still give us value for pick and our choice of three or even four immediate starters. I think Sam Young might be okay at RT and G might be a bigger need but you can't take a G in the first round.

2nd Round)
Pick is S Kenny Tate (Hopefully AA and Tate or Ball and Tate can man S and Ball can go back to CB. Back up pick is a trade back and getting C O'Dowd then S Ahmad Black with rd 3 pick B.

3rd Round)
Pick A is C Kris O'Dowd: We've been wanting to upgrade Gurode for at least two seasons, here he is. Gurode can go back to G, be traded or whatever.
Back up pick is OG John Moffitt and Marcus Cannon to free us to cut Bigg if he keeps stinking. All of them are good options that give us better options come playing time.

Pick B is ILB Kelvin Sheppard. Brooking is old, Bradie isn't young, we have Sean Lee but who backs up the other? Alternate pick here is a great opportunity to finish out the new OL by taking the top G still on the board.

4th Round)
Pick is WR/KR Cecil Shorts: a little fast and more importantly QUICK guy that will catch everything and we'll have to get him here if we're going to get him. We were remiss to pass on Mike Wallace a few years back, we could still use some speed and quickness in the slot and on KRs, esp to pair with McCann.

5th Round)
Pick is RB John Clay, RB Daniel Thomas, or RB Kendall Hunter: In that order. Obviously MBIII is a goner. I like Choice a lot and considering there are no big bruising RBs this year, I like Clay for the thunder to provide a little more umph in our running game. I think either could move the pile a little better on 4th and 1 or 3rd and goal than Felix or Choice.

Canuck must be throwing a fit - :lmao:

I did not want a Stick man playing safety for us

No broken English - good job.

On a side note, hows your pet cat Derrell Johnson-Koulianos doing? Still cooking that Meth?

Good thing. I did not want a low life drug addict scumbag playing receiver for us.

Tate didn't declare. Good decision. Could go in the first half of round 1 in 2012.

Why do I get the feeling that next year you'll be talking about how going back to school cost him a shot at being a round 1 or 2 pick :laugh2:

Dropping from 9 to say 18, is worth 450 points, That's RD2(45) or RD2(58) and RD3(90).

So you can do a little more damage here. Perhaps you should remock.

I dunno, why do you? I can tell you for a fact if he comes close to the same production and effectiveness he had this year he'll go top 20.

I know, I just doubted that a team would give a 1 and a 2, i figured we'd probably get a 3rd and maybe a late pick or a pick in '12.

Thought Tate was going my bad.

as much as I usually hate it, I think I would trade back in the first and trade back again in the 2nd....
target C O'Dowd in the 2nd, S Black in the third, and go Shorts and a RB in the fourth.
