What have the Cowboys done to indicate they want zone CBs over Man CBs?

I've seen people say that, but I'm not sure why.

Nolan Carroll might fit that description but I don't see that as much of an indicator.

I think they want CBs that can do both. Playing zone is more of a mental issue. Claiborne struggled with it because he he was mentally limited.

I think their top focus will be on DBs that get INTs.

Claiborne & Carr are both better man corners. I believe the thinking is there are more INTS to be had "playing the zone" and Jerry/Stephen have been public in stating they want that. The roster moves suggest they are leaning toward it

Carr and Claiborne out, Carroll in, means switch to zone for many fans.

Carr: 4 years, 23.5M

Carroll: 3 years, 10M
