Only MONSTERS need apply. E.g. Crazy athletes with big motors.

2nd | OLB Bruce Irvin | 6'3 245 4.4 | WVU

3rd | FS Markelle Martin | 6'1 210 4.4 | Oklahoma State

4th | OG Brandon Brooks | 6'4 360 4.9 | Miami (Ohio)

5th| CB Coryell Judie | 6'0 195 4.4 | Texas A&M

5th | CB Ron Brooks | 5'10 190 4.3 | LSU

6th | TE James Hanna | 6'4 255 4.4 | Oklahoma

7th | OT Levy Adcock | 6'6 322 5.2 | Oklahoma State

UDFA

OLB Donta Paige-Moss 6'4 260 4.6 North Carolina
DB Desmond Marrow 6'3 220 4.5 Toledo
CB Chris Greenwood 6'1 200 4.3 Albion
SS Lance Kelly 6'2 205 4.4 Louisiana-Lafayette
DE Randy Colling 6'5 315 4.9 Gannon
ILB Dexter Heyman 6'3 240 4.5 Louisville
OLB Adrian Hamilton 6'2 245 4.6 Praire View

You know, I could get behind that draft pretty easy. Adcock is a guy that has the tools and had the coaching in college. He played both tackle spots. Would be a perfect backup for a team like Dallas.

And Markelle Martin has been my adopted player since he landed on campus at OSU. I attended nearly 50 games (more if you count Spring games) wearing his #10 jersey.

Hanna has the tools to be good, he just never was. Don't know if that is scheme or coaching, but he should have become the man after Broyles went down and he simply wasn't. You would expect a guy with his measurables to be far more dominating. The question is, can Dallas get him to that level? They couldn't do it for Bennett.

Even though I don't think Paige-Moss make sto UDFA status, I must say that is one hell of a mock.

Nice draft.

Stay away from Moss. I live in Carolina. This guy is a rock and a headcase. Not worth the time or effort.

Even as an UDFA?

I'm wrestling with the idea of Irvin in the 2nd of my own mock.

I don't see Irvin, right now, as a Outside linebacker in a 3-4. Especially as a Strong side Outside linebacker which also has to excel against the run.
At 245, don't see him faring too well.

That's my issue and why he has not made it in my mock.

Me too. Seems like a gamble because he is small and can be eliminated. I can see us doing it though, 'cause the lack of good pass rushers in the draft. The guy is an instinctive pass rusher and deceptively strong and a guy can always get stronger in the pros.

The guy played DE so the thought that he can't hold the edge against OL doesn't make sense to me. If he were that much of a liability they would just run right at him everytime he was in the game.

As for coverage, he just needs to be taught. He is very fluid and has DB like short shuttle and 3-cone drill times.

At this point I see Bruce Irvin as a "poor-mans" Aldon Smith. He seems like the kind of guy that Ryan could use to pressure the passer from multiple positions. We'd be lucky to get him at #45 ... I hope we do!

you want an all round SOLB then you end up with some one like Spencer. An OLB in the 3-4 must be a great pass rusher first and foremost.

I know a ton of people on this board would've loved to have Von Miller last year. If that fact is still true, then this whole "Irvin is too small" argument makes no sense because Irvin is the same height and 1 lb. less than Miller weighed in at the combine last year. People need to stop thinking that a larger person will always be more successful in the 3-4 versus a smaller one. The Steelers LB's last year weighed (listed) 242, 234, 243, & 265.

I agree with Ronell Lewis from OK instead of Irvin, Flemming the CB would be a nice addition.

I agree. And Ronnell Lewis can't hold a candle to Irvin, as a pass rusher, athlete or all around football player. And I am a Lewis fan.

Looks like Bunting has re-evaluated Brooks and can see him going between rounds 2-3. So I have moved him up a round. That means no Markelle Martin. Silatolu is another option in round 3 if still on the board.

I can't believe how high some of these no name small school players have been shooting up the boards. This was my first 2012 mock during the 2011 season.

I had Poe, Silatolu, Brooks, Harrison Smith and Ladarius Green as mid round to late day picks in November 2011.
