We all can mock and like any you want whether a fan mock, expert mock, or analyst mock. They all have the same chance of being partially correct. Going to try one where I pick the 1st 11 spots before Dallas then what Dallas would do with 12 and 20.
Basing what we know CP likes in a player, which is smarts, athletic, processes quickly and makes the play i.e. wrap up as a tackler. We know from his statements and how he approached helping build previous defenses that he values getting two DBs in the first 3/4 picks. Seems like everyone says we need an Edge first but in Parker's defense, the Edge is also an OLB not strictly an Edge rusher.
The other is what teams really need not what is projected to them. And what there current coach favors.
1. Las Vegas Raiders - Mendoza QB Indiana - probably the safest bet on any to happen, if not will be the biggest shocker of the last forever drafts.
2. New York Jets - Avery Reece OLB Ohio St.- Jets need a WR or CB more but #16 will do fine with one of those. They could trade down to a team willing to give up a 1st next year and more but Reece would be a good addition to their D. Why not Bailey, well he is considered a bit light for a DE/Edge and guess since they canceled their 30 visit with him makes it more likely they settled on Reece.
3. Arizona Cardinals/Tennessee Titans - Jermeiyah Love RB Notre Dame - considered the most likely best player in the draft but betting this pick will go to Tennessee or New Orleans as Cardinals are rebuilding and more picks especially top 100 are important. See Titans offering 4, 35 for 3, 104, 4th in 2027.
4. Tennessee Titans/Arizona Cardinals/Kansas City Chiefs - David Bailey Edge Texas Tech - Chiefs give up 9, 40 for 4, 143 to get their Edge rusher and will go WR at 29. Cardinals now have 4 picks in top 40.
5. New York Giants - Sonny Styles ILB Ohio St. - John Harbaugh will run a 3-4 defense so Styles will fit right in with defense he runs. Giants also need a WR and CB and will address one of those at 10.
6. Cleveland Browns - Monroe Freeling LT Georgia - could trade the pick but even for Dallas doesn't make sense when you need more than one player. Browns OL was horrible has year and now all of them but one are gone. Browns are aiming for Arch Manning in 2027 so a trade down is going to have to involve picks for 2027. Freeling is the only true LT in the draft and one of six OT that will go 1st round and might not be any others until 3rd day of the draft.
7. Washington Commanders - Makai Lemon WR USC - sure it could be Tate but Jayden Daniels must have a WR to be counted on because frankly they have literally no one except the aging McLaurin. They could go OT or maybe even try to trade up for Love or take Rueben Bain here but if Daniels doesn't get help then he will be going down a lot through the season.
8. New Orleans Saints - Carnell Tate WR Ohio St. - sure they could trade up or down but the largest need is WR to be opposite the oft injuried Olave. So either Tate or Rueben Bain. There are decent Edges in top of 2nd but not so for WR.
9. Kansas City Chiefs/Arizona Cardinals - Francis Mauigoa OT Miami - when your OL totally sucked, you have a short term QB and will bring in a high draft pick QB in 2027, better to start getting protection now. If Mauigoa knee is going to be a problem then they go Spencer Fano.
10. New York Giants - Jordyn Tyson WR Arizona St. - gives Dart a great compliment to Nabers and although could see Harbaugh taking Downs here, he could take Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at 37 and be just as happy.
11. Miami Dolphins - Rueben Bain DE Miami - sure they could easily go Downs here but you are completely rebuilding and a local product really helps with the fan base plus the guy is rated as a sure fire top ten also. Marketing counts with this pick or they could trade down with a team that really wants Delane who for my money is the only CB worth in the top 25.
Dallas Cowboys
12. Caleb Downs S Ohio St - staying put give the guy I believe Parker wants but if he is gone then going Dillion Thieneman S Oregon would not surprised me. Both fit the Parker mode for the defense.
20. CJ Allen ILB Georgia - he is the guy I believe they have been targeting for that 20th pick. Could they trade down with say any team from 25 (Chicago) on down to 32 (Seattle) but seriously doubt it is out of the 1st round and return has to be a 3rd round pick in which the team coming up overpays.
92. Treydan Stukes CB Arizona - could be Malik Muhammed CB Texas or Davison Igbinoson CB Ohio St or another CB that has fallen out of the 2nd round but definitely a CB. It just fits what Parker likes to do.
112. Michael Trigg TE Baylor - lousy blocker but great pass catcher, great red zone guy, very good run after catch guy and a 7 foot wing span.
*Trade of Schoonmaker to LA Chargers for 123, if LAC doesn't take a TE in 2nd or 3rd then I think this trade happens
123. Chris Bell WR Louisville - great size and speed, but ACL in November says he won't play until December of 2026 but well worth the pick going into 2027 and with WR corp of Lamb, Pickens and Bell, it would be best in NFL. I know Jones said no red shirt guys but on Day 3 of the draft that could change.
152. Charles Demmings CB Stephen F. Austin - yes a small school CB but still believe he is as good as Delane, picking here is a guy that may be a great sleeper pick but at least a great ST guy.
177. Jimmy Rolder ILB Michigan - great rotation LB, great ST guy, a total football player
180. Cole Wisniewski S Texas Tech - a very, very good, intelligent, hard working football player, he will do what is ask wherever you want him, could see him and Downs as extremely talented duo for years like Harris and Waters
218. Seth McGowan RB Kentucky - RBs fall every year yet you can find a good one now and then in the 7th round and McGowan is going to be a good backup RB
UDFA - this is a year that the scouting department has hit on a number of guys, my favorites
Joe Cooper OT Slippery Rock - could have easily gone to a bigger program but they guy has loyalty, reminds me a lot of Larry Allen type of player
EJ Smith RB Texas A&M - his stats don't do him justice, he has a chance, slim as it might be
Uar Bernard DT Nigeria - international pathway guy that just might be a very good sleeper pick
Patrick Payton Edge LSU - could be drafted in 7th but if he slips, we should sign him
Trey Moore Edge/OLB - another guy that could slip to UDFA status and worth the look
Roman Hemby RB Indiana - might get drafted but if not definitely worth the signing
James Brockermeyer OC Miami - a very good OC, would be nice backup
Jalen Walthall WR Incarnate Word - he just makes plays and rarely ever drops the ball
