Mom made to pay bill after son killed by drunk driver

GREENVILLE, SC – A grieving mother told a South Carolina court she was slapped with several bills, including one to clean the street after her son was killed by a drunken driver last year.

Loretta Robinson spoke on June 19 of the emotional and financial toll her son Justin Walker's death had on her as the driver Anna Gonzales, who is an illegal immigrant, pleaded guilty in the case.

Robinson told the judge she has been unable to work due to the emotional impact of her son's death, and can't pay the bills she keeps receiving from the accident even though her son was not at fault, WYFF reports.

"I had to pay to have the vehicle towed," she said according to WYFF. "I had to pay for the vehicle removed and to clean up the street from Justin's blood on the ground."

Shoudn't the ILLEGAL immigrant whom pleaded GUILTY pony up the residuals? Oh that's right. She's illegal. She has no social responsibility. But she CAN however, come here to break our laws and decimate a family.

Yeah, this makes absolutely 0 sense to me. I just can't understand why someone whose son was not at fault is having to pay for it.

No doubt. To send this mother the bill was outrageous and while you could fight it, it would cost her more to fight it than to pay it.

They need to make the illegal out of jail to work for a private company under police surveillance until all the costs are paid. She doesn't keep any money but she should be forced to labor for the funds. Then after she serves her time in jail, she needs to be sent right the hell back to where she came from. But, in lieu of today's news from the SCOTUS, I doubt that will happen.

I think the judge should make her write a check for 1 penny, every week, for 17 1/2 years just so she doesn't become complacent and forget what she did.

Most people do not have issues with immigrants they have an issue with illegal immigrants. Those are 2 different issues. Yes all of our ancestors outside of Native Americans came from someplace else and I for one welcome anyone who wants to come to this country to make a better life I just expect they do so in a legal manner as many of them do.
