I'm not sure how soon they can move on from Jones without it really affecting their cap
The new contract most likely has the Giants not doing anything through 2024; but if his play doesn't improve significantly over this and next season...the FO will just have to bite the bullet and move on.

I'd rather be the Bears regardless. They have a great shot at the #1 and #2 picks in the draft. Fields hasn't signed an extension so they can get out from under him. They're well positioned for a rebuild.

Plus, they can always trade that pick as well. I just think that, with all the stuff going on, it's a situation where it might not make a difference. The Bears are a poverty franchise with a FO who make Jerry Jones look like Einstein.

Because they have a win, yes, but I'd say the Bears are a close 2nd because they might go 0-17, and I don't think Williams will enter the draft if there's a possibility of him going to the Bears.
Oh man, that'd be tough if you knew you would end up going to the Bears. It'd be bad enough to go to the Giants,
but the BEARS??? :banghead:

DJ looks like this vs a defense ranked 31 in yards against coming into this game...

Exactly, and with their FO? I wouldn't blame Caleb for staying in college another year. He may want to learn how to play baseball if the Bears decide to tank next year too.

It also is not like he is not making money with the new college system. He could easily just go back and say "I have no interest in playing for the Bears".

So this is the backups backups for Seattle and they are dominating the Giants.... the Giants really are terrible.

Home games versus Vikings, Raiders, Panthers (now that's a team whom could be a candidate to go winless in 2023), Cardinals, and Falcons....Chicago win get a win somewhere among those five.
(Arizona and Atlanta games on Christmas and New Year's Eves, respectively --- some December cold weather for a desert climate and a dome team tips the scales in the Bears' favor.)
