Why wouldn't they- they make teams play of Thur after playing the Sunday before. Thats the NFL - No *** Logic, lol

The playoff scheduling makes getting the number one seed even more important. It’s a big advantage having a bye and playing a team at home that’s coming off only six days rest.

Especially huge for the Iggles with all their injuries this year

The Rams won the first MNF playoff game and went on to win the SB. It's not ideal, but it's not impossible. That said, I don't like MNF for the playoffs.
They also played their next game on a Sunday. NFL does a lot silly things but they aren't about to put any of their playoff teams at a disadvantage by playing the team that won on Monday night to turnaround and play again on Saturday.
