I predict:

We will beat Carolina in a tough, close game. Carolina was expected to be very good...they've had a horrible start because Delhomme has had two consecutive "romo" games.

It's very difficult to send any team, even the Rams, to an 0-3 start. Carolina will come out with everything they have to avoid seeing their season circle the drain after only 3 weeks. Both teams will play spirited, tough football.

The defense will finally get 1-2 sacks; we might even get 1 turnover, despite the fact that Carolina will be ultra conscious of protecting the ball.

We won't run the ball as well without Barber, but we'll do okay...Romo will have a solid, but not spectacular game.

Will fans be happy with a close win that sends us to 2-1? No freakin' way.

We'll see posts about "can't get turnovers against a Carolina team that's been giving them away"; "finally got a sack...not enough pressure"; "Tony was just average...he is what he is"; "Roy Williams doing his disappearing act...way to give away draft picks and let TO go, Jerry"; "We barely beat an 0-3 team at home...forget playoffs"; "Fire _________________ (basically everyone)."

That's my prediction...I'll be happy to be 2-1. What's yours?

Side Notes:

Offense has one new starter (Crayton), and he's been a starter before. The OLine is in tact; all the RBs are back; and we have our 2nd TE in his 2nd year. No surprise to see the offense moving the ball and putting up points, even when Romo gives too many possessions away.

However, the defense is looking at 1 new starter on the DL; 2 new starters at LB; 2 new starters in the secondary; and new youth in backup roles. It's good that we and they have high expectations of them, and it's true that they should perform better; however, it should be expected that this unit will be a work in progress, and it is a unit that should get better as the season rolls along.

I think you are exactly right, Wayne. I've been thinking the same thing: We win, but it's not impressive enough to stop the complaining.

Sometimes I wonder if a win in January will stop the complaining.

Sorry to say but your prediction is wrong, I say blowout something in high 30's low 40's cowboys and panthers 13-17. Vegas has us -9(meaning were favored to win by 9 or more)... I gamble and I know how to read lines believe me blowout

I disagree, there's no way possible you can predict the outcome of the game so you're better off just waiting for the game.

If Delhomme ends up having an average day, Im gonna puke. Our D better not let him get his confidence or whatever the hell hes missing, back.

I have watched both Panther games since we are force-fed them in NC. They are not a good team. We should beat them by more that 2-3, but I will take any win we can get.

To bad it does not work that way in Vegas, they want you to pick before the game not after.

I predict the Cowboys Offense will roll up 400 yards and 30 plus points like the 1st two games. Bennett scores.

I predict the Cowboys Defense will give up 200 yards and a max of 17 points. They will force turnovers and get sacks. Coverage in the secondary will be better (has to be) and the front 7 will generate pressure.

I predict this team will right the ship and atone for the close loss from Sunday night.

This team is 1-1. To miss the playoffs they have to lose at least 5 more games. That's gonna be tough without a key injury.

Sunday night was an aberration. This team will continue to outplay opponents but won't continue the boneheaded errors. They can't continue.

The 1st two games showed me a fully adaptable offense that can score in any way the defense allows and a defense that will bend at times but not break enough to get you beat consistantly. (Red Zone defense was very good)

I guess we'll have to see if this team makes a liar out of me.

Want to impress me win a tough NFCE game, there's no way winning any of these fluff games are going to convince me that this team has gotten any better, we're supposed to win these games.

Go beat Philly in Philly, GB in GB or any game in December and i might start believing again

You know, the Panthers really aren't that bad.

If we're 9 point favorites, I'd have to go with Carolina.

Fortunately, I don't bet on Cowboys games.....it's tough enough without your heart overruling your head.

Carolina to cover, or win outright? We should win this unless Romo turns the ball over 5 times or so..:banghead:

A game much closer than it should be because of stupid mistakes resulting in either a win or a loss.

I know, I'm going out on a limb here.

Watch what I tell you, if the spread was dallas -3 I would've said either close game or lose, but -9 scares alot of ppl from dallas and that's what vegas wants. Blowout 41-13

It seems as though the Cowboys win one, then lose one. So, we should beat the Panthers.

:laugh2: Yep, that pretty much sums it up right there... This team can't get out of its own way...

Once again somebody who thinks the NFL is a league of pushovers. It's a 3 point league. :bang2:

You probably would have added the Rams from last year in there too as not "being impressive". The big bad NFC East will lose to weaker teams this year. Count on it...and it might be us.
