How can you guys even think of a blow out when the Dallas defense sucks.

Ranked 30 out of 32 on total yards given up...that would be 438.5 per game...teams can't wait to play against our defense. Wade sucks as a defensive coordinator and a head coach. Should have been fired after the raping in phily last year.

Sorry to say but your prediction is wrong, I say blowout something in high 30's low 40's cowboys and panthers 13-17. Vegas has us -9(meaning were favored to win by 9 or more)... I gamble and I know how to read lines believe me blowout

So you're not teasin' this game at all? ;)

we have not achieved 1994 status but i can say the same thing about every game we'll play this year that I said about every game then: if we don't turn the ball over, we win

Once again somebody who thinks the NFL is a league of pushovers. It's a 3 point league. :bang2:

You probably would have added the Rams from last year in there too as not "being impressive". The big bad NFC East will lose to weaker teams this year. Count on it...and it might be us.

If you want to get your hopes up after a win over a 0-2 team be my guest, **** just goes in cycles around here.
Lose a NFCE game then beat someone like the Lions the next week and we rule again "we're back", "we've finally come together as a team" bla bla bla,.. then we follow it up by a loss in the next big game... same crap different year

Some games ARE bigger then others the last game was one of them and as usual we gave it away. Until we start winning those games we're the same sorry cowboys that fold in every big game we play

Since we have no pass rush, I predict Jake Delhomme gets his grove back. Carolina 31-27

They lose on MNF they can kiss the playoffs goodbye!

Same for us. We are at home and the better team. We win but the fans and media remain unimpressed.

I don't see this one as very close and it has nothing to do with Romo bouncing back. I really think he was rattled by his poor performance and will do his best to not take chances.

I think an angry bunch of Cowboys are going to run the ball without mercy because of the Panthers d-line injuries and woes and this will limit how many opportunities Smith has to toast our young secondary.

If we are lucky, we will get some long connections off run fakes, but look for considerably more runs than passes as a new look team emerges.

Normally I'd say that the Cowboys were in for a hellacious beating, but since they've gotten one early season embarrassment out of the way, they should be in good shape for the next three games-- you know in order to pump-up the natives and then send us back over the edge with another heartbreaking loss to a NFC East foe.

not sure we can win this one honestly.carolina is deseperate and we are missing barber.we also cant get any pressure on the Qb.Steve smith will have a monster game.It will be another shootout and the only way we can win is minimizing stupid mistakes.we need a 3-4 td game from romo to pull this one out.

Absolutely not.

More runs than passes? Please.

A passing offense doesn't have to be a high-risk offense. That's what you're going to see-- more high-percentage stuff.

But this offense is not turning into a run-run-pass offense.

Defense plays good to great...Ware gets at least 1 sack, Spencer probably another...I'll say 3 sacks on the night...

Jones and Choice have solid game 150 yrds combined

Romo solid game, not great, but also way better than last week, maybe 1 pick but probably a couple of touchdown passes....

Mostly sunny, temps in the mid to upper 70s, light win, 20% chance of rain and a 100% chance of pain.

For a week or 2 i really believe we will see more runs than passes. I don't think it will last as better competition/defenses come up, but I think it will go there for a while more out of desire to have a calm successful period more than Garrett's desire to have that.

I think you are exactly right, Wayne. I've been thinking the same thing: We win, but it's not impressive enough to stop the complaining.

yet the same people who complain that it doesn't matter if lose by 2 or 30 points as it is still a loss will not be happy with a two point win.

Yep.

Or that nothing matters until December... Until we lose in September.

I predict:

We will beat Carolina in a tough, close game. Carolina was expected to be very good...they've had a horrible start because Delhomme has had two consecutive "romo" games.

Delhomme didn't play bad at all against the Falcons.

It's very difficult to send any team, even the Rams, to an 0-3 start. Carolina will come out with everything they have to avoid seeing their season circle the drain after only 3 weeks. Both teams will play spirited, tough football.

The defense will finally get 1-2 sacks; we might even get 1 turnover, despite the fact that Carolina will be ultra conscious of protecting the ball.

We won't run the ball as well without Barber, but we'll do okay...Romo will have a solid, but not spectacular game.

Will fans be happy with a close win that sends us to 2-1? No freakin' way.

We'll see posts about "can't get turnovers against a Carolina team that's been giving them away"; "finally got a sack...not enough pressure"; "Tony was just average...he is what he is"; "Roy Williams doing his disappearing act...way to give away draft picks and let TO go, Jerry"; "We barely beat an 0-3 team at home...forget playoffs"; "Fire _________________ (basically everyone)."

That's my prediction...I'll be happy to be 2-1. What's yours?

Side Notes:

Offense has one new starter (Crayton), and he's been a starter before. The OLine is in tact; all the RBs are back; and we have our 2nd TE in his 2nd year. No surprise to see the offense moving the ball and putting up points, even when Romo gives too many possessions away.

However, the defense is looking at 1 new starter on the DL; 2 new starters at LB; 2 new starters in the secondary; and new youth in backup roles. It's good that we and they have high expectations of them, and it's true that they should perform better; however, it should be expected that this unit will be a work in progress, and it is a unit that should get better as the season rolls along.

Since there will be two interception prone QB playing, I predict they will combine for atleast 3 Int's and 5 at the most.

I believe that the Cowboys shall win because the defensive line of the Panthers is really hurting and to cover for that fact, the safeties will play close to the line which in turn shall allow Witten, Crayton and Williams to make plays.

Therefore, I think the Las Vegas line will be covered. Cowboys by 13 points.
