So during all the mini camps and then OTA's. McFadden looked outstanding.
Tweaked hammy and team was ultra conservative bringing him back because, well, it's preseason.
Then he returns and again looks outstanding .

Randle has looked great too. So starter Randle and backup who supposedly will get less carries (so reduced injury risk) McFadden also has looked good.

Yet daily panic continues.

I'm panicking just thinking about it...

Byron says he's confident it's a short-term injury.

Brandon George @DMN_George
Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne had left hand wrapped. Said he jammed it on play before collision w/ CB Byron Jones. Said he's fine to practice.

Brandon George @DMN_George
Cowboys WR Devin Street has his left ankle taped up. But he's fine.

Drew Davison @drewdavison
Byron Jones is confident his left shoulder injury isn't serious. Went through walkthrough today.

Jon Machota @jonmachota
There were 9 offseason award-winners. Those players get special parking at Valley Ranch and golf carts at training camp facility

David Helman @HelmanDC
Garrett anticipates that Romo will practice today vs. St. Louis. Not sure about tomorrow.

Jon Machota @jonmachota
Tyrone Crawford and Anthony Hitchens are not expected to practice today

Brandon George @DMN_George
Jason Garrett: DE Kenneth Boatright flew to Dallas on Sunday to see back specialists after he was hurt early in camp and was hospitalized.

Brandon George @DMN_George
Don't look for Cowboys RT Doug Free to practice much over next two days vs. St. Louis Rams. They're taking it easy with him.

Brandon George @DMN_George
Jason Garrett said DT Tyrone Crawford (back) and LB Anthony Hitchens (foot) won't practice today vs. the St. Louis Rams.

Brandon George @DMN_George
Jason Garrett said RBs Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Lance Dunbar (sprained ankle) could get a few team snaps today vs. Rams.

One Cool Customer @OCC44
DeMarcus Lawrence and Cole Beasley are 2 out of 9. Who else got an award and what for? https://twitter.com/DMN_George/status/633368874117795840…

Brandon George @DMN_George
In case you forgot, here's last year's brawl between Cowboys and Raiders in first joint practice of training camp: http://www.dallascowboys.com/video/2014/08/12/huge-fight-breaks-out-between-cowboys-and-raiders…

Rob Phillips @robphillips3
Players w/ camp golf cart privileges as offseason program winners: Witten, Beasley, Dunbar, Tyron, Heath, Patmon, Wilber, D-Law, Chris Jones

Dan Turner @dtsturner
Likely that Cowboys will be missing vs Rams today: Top WR, Top 3 OTs, Top 2 NTs, and Top 4 CBs

Pro Football Focus @PFF
Cowboys La'el Collins was our highest graded offensive rookie after the first week of the preseason.

David Moore @DavidMooreDMN
Leary is the starter over Collins at this stage. No question. He's responded to the challenge... https://twitter.com/sethrowney/status/633390801976868865…

Brandon George @DMN_George
CB Morris Claiborne jammed his left hand & WR Devin Street sprained his left ankle when they tangled up and went to ground on play Sunday.

Brandon George @DMN_George
CB Morris Claiborne on colliding Sunday with CB Byron Jones: "There was no way to avoid it. The only thing I saw was his eyes light up."

Good stuff

When something bad happens somehow, someway Jeff Heath is mentioned. He is like a bad omen and a bringer of bad news to anyone that gets his way.

I know a easy way to fix that.

Also, I love hearing that Hardy gets owned in practice by our OL and then owns the opposition.

Also excited because Tyrone Crawford has been giving our OL fits.

I don't think he practiced today, but I wish I could have seen how he did against another group.

Heath is a good sp teams guy.

4th on the team in ST tackles last year and was an excellent FG/Punt blocker.

Two the guys who were probably better than him are no longer with the team (CJ Spillman and Dwayne Harris).

Maybe its the Nervous Nellie in me concerning preseason injuries, but the Tyron biceps ailment worries the heck out of me.

Seems like today was a good practice overall. Guys getting a different look against unfamiliar players.

Well well well.. Just stay healthy my friend and its on. He's going to explode here.

McFadden and Dunbar together can be excellent as nickel RBs, particularly as pass catchers.

I like him as a Runner but I too worry he is going to put the ball on the turf.

This is one of those things you really don't know about an NFL RB until he has to assume a prominent role. Sure, he's a talented runner, but........can he take the pounding? Ball security. Will he blow assignments? We'll have to see.....

Slight hint of concern on Jones. Maybe pessimism but when they say he's fine but still want a second opinion on a shoulder he previously had surgery on............ hmmmm..............

Great, now I'M nervous!

You are just as "allegedly bad" as those of us that say there will be issues trusting this stable of rbs. But everyone loves a polyanna. Oh sunshine dayyyyyyy....

For the record, I personally am encouraged by what I heard from yesterday's practice but it's one practice and bodys adjust. I'll be more interested in what I hear from the 3rd practice back and what takes place in preseason games 2 & 3 before I begin to feel any ounce of optimism. You do you. I do me.

I haven't once said for sure this would work out.
But since nothing has really changed in months, I don't see the point in people whining daily about the topic.
The constant whining reminds of little kids on a long car trip bemoaning the same things repeatedly.

Hey, I was one that thought 100% for sure we'd draft someone. But it didn't work out.
We all should know that even that would come with real uncertainty.

Their plan has been clear since after picking up DMC. I'm not against them adding someone else and never have said that.
But the plan is clear and unless they get hard evidence that these guys can't handle it (serious injury to Randle and/or McFadden or truly terrible preseason performances in 2+ games) they appear to be set for now.
.
I. Sure they have a long detailed list of players to pursue if it seems to them it's needed.

Will McClay, Stephen, Garrett, and the crew seem pretty thorough regarding personnel and having a plan. They're always saying it's a year around, ongoing thing for them.
