Over/under on the number of games he goes without drawing a single holding penalty? I’ll go 13

I certainly don't dispute his talent. And Jerry did the right thing by drafting him.

But I do see this guy becoming a headache. A real problem.

Count me among those who believe he’s being overused at DE. He is a great pass rusher but his body is not made for 40 or more snaps on the DL. The great Lawrence Taylor was a great pass rusher but they also used him as a LB.

I’m hoping Zimmer uses Parsons as a weapon to be used from multiple positions on the field. Rush him as a LB on occasion. Post him on the edge sometimes but also put him back as a LB to support run stoppage. Parsons is being wasted just as a pass rush specialist IMO. He's so much more than that.

Parsons would have to finish the season strong for me to believe he would be able to have a "monster year".

But Micah's sacks, QB hits and pressures all plummet after November so far in his career (although November is usually his best month). I hope he can change that, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it either.

He could have a down year and Stephen would tell him the top of market contract is his floor.

Jerry has a history of paying players for out performing their previous contract. When what he should be doing is paying them for their future performance.

With all the attention/double teams Parsons receives and him wearing down every season, I don’t see his sacks totals going much higher than they have. We’ve seen the same pattern each of his first three seasons. He comes out of the gate fast then starts to tire out by the end of the season. His sacks totals start diminishing the second half of the season. He pretty much has nothing left for the playoffs. He was a complete no show against GB along with the rest of our defense.

.....going into his final year on contract for 24' I wouldn't be surprised he sets NFL record for sacks.

Throw in DPOY award. Dallas players love final year contracts.

Oh, I thought you were talking about his podcast and that he scored a major sponsor. Parsons isn't breaking any NFL sack record in this season or any other season and the reason being is because he can be easily contained by offenses with a chip or double team. When this happens he starts pouting on the field or he'll find a spot on the bench and sit by himself sulking because it's not all about him. Parsons appears to be in the 2nd Tier of the great edge rushers in today's NFL. The way he disappeared in the 2nd half of last season says a lot about Micha Parsons and the defensive line he plays on.

So far he is just another empty meaningless stat machine looking for a big bag of money.

Man... maybe I'm wrong but in my opinion he is an above average LBer and an all world pass rusher. If I'm coach i'm lining him up at DE. An elite pass rusher is many many more times important than a LBer. Look at the draft, the top LBers went in the latter half of round 2. Maybe the strategy should be to stock pile DEs and have a rotation like Philly did their two SB appearance and like the Giants did in their 2 SB wins. Keep him fresh.

Well for one CD lamb broke a bunch of records and he didn't get automatically paid, yet, he got the 5th year option... Micah Parsons already got the 5th year option, so we don't know what the Jones boys are going to do but let me give you the alternate theory here..

What if this contract year motivates Micah Parsons to do better like just goes all out for a sack record you know that guy named Robert Quinn ie 11yrs 102 sacks(not to shabby avg 10 per year), rep here states that he did nothing but stack up sacks and everyone said ohh but he just stacking sacks that's all he can do he's one-dimensional??

I mean is that really going to help our team if that's all Mike is focused on is getting a sack at all costs? He's already been accused of not planning to run well if they run right at them you know with the option game , he don't react well to it well or when hes held all game ,usually has an off game, that they just get him down early he doesn't seem to play 100% in the second-half of those games where he's just being held sackless.

On skates against the run. Disappears in big games. Houdini act after November. Baby number 3 coming from a different woman in 2025.

So far it's been 3 monster years for Parsons, so sure, I expect this will be #4. But, I don't expect he will break the sack record
