Yes, he did have a critical 1st down catch in the 4th quarter, I believe it help get the FG. The one where Romo came up limping I believe.
He was targeted a few other times, but don't believe he made the catch.

Right, he was targeted some time near the beginning of the game but no catch. I believe Romo made a poor throw.

I almost wonder if Romo doesn't trust Austin for some reason. Unless it's a desperate situation, Romo just doesn't throw it to him.

More Williams too, lets get him bumped back up to #2. He was alot more productive in that spot than Miles has been since his return.

I agree, why slow his development with Miles "smilin to the bank" Austin?

While I agree Miles is not the player he once was...his presence forces the oppostion to put a big physical CB on him...thus freeing up Beasley to run free in zones. Beasley would get tossed around like a rag doll on the outside....so I would continue to use Miles as a decoy.

I dont think that is so much the case now. Nobody fears Austin's presence these days. The guy has 200 yds for crying out loud.

dez and williams on the outside, beasley and harris on the inside. austin would need to take a huge paycut and be the 5th receiver. he could play outside or inside so, he could be valuable in a backup role.

Miles has always had suspect hands even when he was lighting it up. Beastly, on the other hand, lacks the explosiveness but has a workmanlike steadiness and reliability which has been vastly underrated by our GM over the years.
