You know... in 1989 I believe it was... we were 1-15.

It is more embarrassing to say you are a fan of this 2019 team then that 1989 team.

The 1989 team never quit... I was actually never embarrassed to say I was a Cowboy fan then.

Troy got the living crap beat out of him... he didn't say hey.... this season is over, can I tap out for now?

I don't know what these guys are made of on this team, but 85% of them have no heart, no pride, no will to win.

It starts from the top, and runs down through the players... They are a joke. They should feel like a joke. Someone in the locker room needs to stand up and start slapping people.

When you are lucky enough, to have the ability to play in the NFL, yet you still think of it as just a paycheck... please just get rid of them. I would rather have practice squad people activated who have something to prove and go 1-15 again.

When the Eagles came out in the 1st quarter and obviously came to lay the wood, you could almost physically see this team hesitate trying to find a response as a team. And they found one. They backed off.

Dallas never really tried to match the physical play of the Eagles. At least that's the way I saw it.

Philly just wanted it more. And they took it.

People like Fletcher Cox want to win... friend of mine has met him several times at drag racing events, because he has a car. He wants to win at everything.

We have a bunch of children with ME ME ME issues...

There's no comparison. Just completely different situations. At 1-15 they were rebuilding with a brand new HC and you never lost hope for the future. This team right now there is no hope. It's a joke run by a joke and coached by a joke. Need much more than the sprinkle of talent that's here and they don't have it.

Nutless and gutless!!

Absolutely! You could tell from the first series they were ready to play and we weren’t.

I've been embarrassed since Garrett was allowed to continue as offensive coordinator in 2008.
The individual embarrassments have continued to add up, from the 44-6 drubbing by the Eagles in 2008, to opening night of 2010 and the Green Bay Massacre in week 8, to Garrett icing his own kicker, Romo self-destructing vs the Lions, Garrett shutting down to entire 2015 season waiting for Romo to return, to this season's mess.
Three consecutive 8-8 seasons in which one more win could have won the division; Garrett being named Coach of the Year in 2016,
Humiliation has been a way of life under Garrett.

I don't mean to sound like some old ******* that complains about millennials. Because, I know a lot of young adults tough as nails in today's society.

They just don't play for the Dallas Cowboys.

I don't know if it is the feeling of entitlement many young people have today, or what it is... Maybe it is just how society is. Go to your safe place, get offended by everything,
be as totally unusual as you possibly can for attention... Whatever it is, and whatever has caused it... it is like a plague with this team.

I don't know why I continue to emotionally invest in this team.

I feel like I should have a mental evaluation, and send Jerry the bill.

There was a play that sticks in my mind in the 2nd Quarter I believe. Zeke had pulled off a nice 4 yard gain and you could tell he got frustrated. So he turned it on to the next level and turned the 4 yard gain into a 9 yard gain.

He paid the price however. They spun him around in the air and slammed him into the ground like a tent peg for his troubles. As if to say, don't do that again or the same thing will happen.

As far as I could tell the rest of the game, it worked.

I don't know. Sometimes I think they think its just not worth taking the beating or trying to make that hard tackle.

At least we did bench a player or two for doing that this game. Need to do more of that.

1989 was the year I had a paper bag over my head when I watched the games. lol I tell you what though. I did have hope for the future then. I don't really have any hope that things will get better now. Jerry is not the same kind of owner and we don't have a Jimmy as coach.

Well said...
Unfortunately some don’t realize that the players are as much to blame as the coaches

The 1989 team was a team in transition, this team was expected to be a contender that's why they paid $90M to their star RB.

Not only that, you just drafted a franchise QB and had the first pick in '90. Things were definitely on the up swing

This team reminds me more of 2010. Before the season that team was expected to compete for a SB.

I don't know. 3 5-11 seasons and watching Aikman get beat like rag doll even more in 2000 wasn't a fun ride. Let alone how badly the Eagles would beat down on the Cowboys in the early 2000's. Along with losing to an expansion team, losing the first game in the new stadium. A lot of embarassing crap went down. This does I think , is the icing on the cake.

Because we eventually won a SB, hindsight. We clearly had a better coaching staff, something to look forward to. But losing all but one game is more embarrassing.
Whats Elliott have to do with it, need to take a lame jab? He only got 13 carries.

This Owner/GM/coaching staff is terrible.

There was no up swing in 89. You're going by what happened after.

They had a national champ coach with a real resume and loads of picks. If you don't see a clear difference even without the success afterwards, I don't know what to tell you. That difference between Johnson and Garrett is really all you need. Hope was very prevalent then. it's gone now. Long gone. This team has a coach with zero experience to go along with a roster that regularly craps the bed.

Uninspired, soft and lazy....aint winning much being that way.
