More Jeff Heath vs JJ?

I honestly think that people underestimate and brush off Heath as unathletic because he's white. Just my opinion. Yeah he's had his bad moments, but he's also had some great moments too. He's also one of the most athletic guys on the team, I remember seeing him run down guys from behind several times last year. That may have been because he was out if position to begin with, but the dude is no Justin Beriault or Lynn Scott.

Nobody said he was unathletic. But being able to run fast isnt the only measure of a football player. He doesnt have good ball skills and his reaction times are in question. Do I question white safeties...yes...but I thought matt johnson could do something at some point. lol

If Heath plays anything other than Special Teams, then shame on this team for not drafting a safety higher than they did and also for letting Dixon walk. Heath just isn't an NFL caliber player. No ball skills whatsoever and just seems a huge liability. If we weren't certain about Wilcox we should have done something about it. Personally I like Wilcox and think he will be OK. Kid has barely played safety in his life and is now being asked to do it at the NFL level so there will be some growing pains.

They could sign Dixon to the 53 man roster at any time. As a member of another teams's practice squad, any other team can sign him.

I think Dixon is on the Bears 53 now.

People were saying that Wilcox is more athletic than him though. Most pertinent numbers in that regard would swing towards Heath, not saying he's a better player, but he is more athletic. I think that Heath has more upside, if he can somehow harness those flashes that we see from him every now and then, he can be a good player.
