More on new WR Todd Lowber. Believe it or not...

Lowber did play in the preseason for the Vikes last year. He played most of the 4th quarter in their first game against the Rams and also played in another though they didn't throw to him. The giants had the intention of keeping him on the practice squad the entire season but had to release him to accomodate for injuries at other positions on the OL and at DB. They re-signed him as soon as the season ended.

When they released him, they suggested he go to Canada to get some live game experience and he was on the practice squad for a few days when the Cowboys called. He has been working with Jason Garrett's Father for over a year and should impress in the games.

I dont see him having to much of a chance with all the talent in which the cowboys have at the reciever position it will be a hard thing for me but with motivation he might be alright

I hope he can find a way onto the squad. I wonder what his work ethic is he is so far behind most of the other players he should be working 5 times as hard to conpensate and that may not be enough to get him a roster spot/

Lowber looks to be the same size as Stanback except a less experience/knowledge of the WR position, but a heck of lot more speed.

However, unless Cowboys use him like Bullet Bob (run post & flag patterns only), Lowber's complete unfamiliarity with the game of football may be his undoing. He has all the athleticism in the world, but how much work is he willing to do to learn the game is what it will boil down to.

The 3 season rule is for football players, Lowber is in a whole other category.

Or his butterfingers...in the blogs over the past few days, they've mentioned at least 3 passes in his hands he couldn't hold onto.

He's caught two long TD's already today on PacMan and Henry.

He's made the team !!!!

Didn't even realize that was him until the first post ... I went to college with him. I remember watching him play basketball from my small D-III school. That's awesome!

He had to go through customs in Toronto and fly all night across country and suit up with virtually no sleep. Give him a few days to get himself together.
