More proof : Dak thread

Off hand I know that last season he had the highest overall passer rating vs the blitz.

In the off chance it actually works out that way, it will revolutionize the entire league.

How do you figure? At a minimum the majority of the yardage will be replaced. The Cowboys aren’t going to only pass for 2,000 yards this season.

Say Hurns gets 600-700 yards, some combination of the TEs gets 400-500 yards, Beasley gets closer to his 2016 numbers, and Austin/Thompson contribute 500-700 yards. All of those are easily doable, and pretty quickly you would find those 1700 aren’t completely gone.

Doing nothing to replace them is certainly their fault. They made a decision to ignore the losses whether they left, were cut, or let go.

Trading for one receiver.

Signing 2 free agent receivers.

Drafting another WR with a 3rd rounder.

Drafting another receiver with a 6th rounder.

Drafting a tight end with a 4th rounder.

Yes, the front office did nothing to try and replace them.

It'll revolutionize it because any team with a heavy investment in their receiving corps can just cut them loose and replace them with 2nd tier talent and rookies and production won't drop. Because "we can't just pass for 2000 yards, so it'll have to come from somewhere" .

You've even got Witten's production replaced by players with no history of any success yet - simply because they'll be thrown into the lineup. Seems it was stupid to be paying Witten all this time when the guys behind him could so easily replace him.

Is a shame that didn't get tweeted a few months ago . If the Cowboys knew they had a QB as good as Brady, they probably wouldn't have gotten rid of all their receivers and abandoned the passing game.

Right. Because Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are surrounded by top flight stud receivers. Oh, wait...

Did Dez and Witten really perform like first tier talent last year? And who else was the top tier talent we lost? Dez and Witten collectively had a modest 1,338 yards, so are you adding in Butler’s 317 yards?

And what part of the numbers I suggested as possible seems unreasonable?

In any case, even if we were to only replace 1400 of the 1700 yards, that still just nets out to a 300 yard loss, not 1700, and even then we are likely to have better rushing totals with the Zeke saga behind us, so Its not unreasoble in the least To think there may not be any overall loss in yardage at all.

Well Rogers had Nelson and Brady had a young stud with 3 consecutive 1000 yard seasons.....it was his 3rd year and 2nd team in the NFL. But yeah they had nobody's.

NE's been doing it for years. PITT also. It's only teams like DET and CINCY and a few others who think they have to spend 1sts on WR's all the time.

seriously, as good as Connor Williams has looked so far
how could you improve the line?
best LT, great center and RG, i guess you could swap La El for somebody but i mean he shouldve been a 1st round pick...

they brought in highly respected line coaches/specialist
a guy like Brady would slaughter defenses behind that

Dak will never play behind better talent

I thought that’s what I was saying in a sarcastic way!
