Do we know anything more now than we knew last night when this obscure tweet went out?

This looks like its all a bunch of b.s. If you go into Jason's tweet, not one person in the comments has anything good to say. And he's a national guy so it isn't a bunch of Dallas homers. Does not seem his rep is all that great when it comes to reporting.

If there was really trouble:

1) you’d think the team knows about this.

2) why would he play with the 1’s if there was impending doom? If he was going to be suspended you keep him playing in the second half where his performance really doesn’t matter

Dallas seems last to know about these things or atleast acts that way. Also, we have to remember Gregory suffers from a disease. He made incredible adjustments to his life but he will ALWAYS be susceptible to a relapse. I remember hearing story on podcast few weeks ago from someone who had conversation with Cowboys staff member who worked with Gregory the first time around and he said he would be shocked if Gregory made it thru 4 games before trouble started...something to effects of Gregory personal demons are rather strong.

I don’t know. Stephens tweets don’t sound necessarily bad. Him and Jerry just sound like they don’t want to speak too optimistically because they know Gregory is one mess up from being done forever. And they don’t want to say everything is ok, but then they get burnt 2 weeks from now.

You need to think about what you want Stephen to say. What words would alleviate your concern, and are they reasonably possible?

“Oh, yeah. We just got the results from Randy’s latest pee test. He’s clean.”

He’s never going to make such a claim because he doesn’t hear about the results unless they’re bad. He doesn’t know when the tests are going to happen. That would defeat the purpose. The Joneses know what you know—that a reporter with a name made an incredibly vague tweet.

Pretty simple.

Just say that they have no information whatsoever at this time to corroborate the tweet and that as of now, Gregory has met all their expectations and is a member of this team until told otherwise.

There's a way to say essentially the same thing while projecting confidence. Jerry and Stephen have a way of taking a basic, simple answer and through their tones and word choices make it sound pretty bad.
