When asked which draft prospect has elevated their stock that he might have missed the first time around, NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock mentioned Virginia T Morgan Moses.
Moses didn't test well at the combine, and he doesn't have a great body, but Mayock loves his game tape, a sentiment echoed by Houston SportsTalk 790 hosts Adam Clanton and Lance Zierlein. It's not hard to see why the footage swayed them: Moses succeeded against top-notch rushers such as Vic Beasley, Jeremiah Attaochu and Kyle Van Noy. Apr 7 - 8:57 PM

I'll take good tape over work outs any time.

He graded out over 90% in every game and averaged 8 knockdowns per game as well. He's definitely extremely appealing. My only concern is that for whatever reason he was significantly worse at RT than LT at the senior bowl. Not sure if it was just a fluke and he could easily adjust, but it was a little odd.

This is an intriguing guy. Would likely sit behind Free for the year and then go into camp next year as the new RT.

I think he gets selected late round 1.

IF he Is there at 47 I sprint to the podium.

Perfect RT for the next level

He play LT in college. It's difficult to move to RT without some practice time at the position.

Agreed, I wouldn't worry about it too much. This guy has that nice blend of current ability with upside. Would love him in R2.

I wonder if he could play OG in tne beginning. I'm much more concerned about OG than OT. Parnell is a legit backup OT and Weems has upside but they have zero depth at OG.

Parnell is an enigma . He showed flashes of taking Free's job, but the injury early last season seemed to have halted his progress. He filled in for Tyron nicely and many people thought he would beat Free out for the RT position. I hope he bounces back and at the very least provides a quality backup at swing tackle.

I agree with you on Parnell. To me last training camp was his opportunity and he missed it. I don't look at him as starter either this coming season or after Free leaves... provided he does leave via FA.

Parnell will be a nice tackle for someone, hopefully it's us.

Weems has potential as well.

I agree. He had his shot. If we draft a young player capable of being the swing tackle, I cut him with the quickness.

I still have questions about his injury and his much it limited Parnell. He was really looking like he had potential before the injury. I would draft a young tackle if a good one offers value, but I haven't totally given up on Parnell.

He was injured almost all of the preseason and only played 1 preseason game. In that game he dominated the Bengles rookie DE and blew up All Pro Geno Atkins all while visibly limping.

There has been some political type issue around this player. It was reported in 2012 that Callahan wanted to bench Free and start Parnell but that "management" wanted to stay with Free (i.e. they overpaid Free with that contract a few years ago and are still trying to prove themselves right). The compromise was to have them alternate in the final 4 games.

If they would just start him for a few games, he would quickly surpass Free, IMO. The problem is that he has minimal experience and would likely make a few mistakes at first. A player can only go so far with just practice. At some point you have to get them experience in real games.

Does he have the feet and hands to play tackle?

He is very good with his hands. I'd give his athleticism an average grade but he uses those long arms to latch onto people or put them into the ground. He is good at holding his blocks but he is not exceptionally powerful.

He'd be an upgrade at the swing tackle and could push Free out the door.
