He is very good with his hands. I'd give his athleticism an average grade but he uses those long arms to latch onto people or put them into the ground. He is good at holding his blocks but he is not exceptionally powerful.

He'd be an upgrade at the swing tackle and could push Free out the door.

I like the athleticism first then the arms and hands. Actually you have to have them both IMO. If he's not that athletic then either swing or a swing OG/OT maybe. I haven't seen him and know nothing about him. Perhaps his feet are good enough to play the right.

That's exactly what I see from him, to a "T." Average athleticism and somewhat disappointing power in the run game. When you see a guy his size, you expect him to be moving people, which he doesn't very much. However, he does get himself in position and does his job. Seems to play hard, and isn't beat often. I think the physical tools and technique are more than present enough to feel good about him as a 2nd round pick, and you can expect he'd push Free to start this year, and certainly be the long-term RT.

His feet plus arm length are more than good enough to be a really nice pass protector at RT. I only wish he was a bit more forceful in the running game (but the physical potential is there) and that he had more athleticism to get outside the tackle box and/or to the second level for blocks. That part will not change, as he doesn't have Tyron-like athleticism. Overall, I think he's potentially an upper tier RT or slightly above average LT in the NFL. More than enough to make him the 47th pick if he's there.

I wonder if he could play OG in tne beginning. I'm much more concerned about OG than OT. Parnell is a legit backup OT and Weems has upside but they have zero depth at OG.

Morgan played all four non-pivot OL positions at some point in time during his college career. He played well at guard as a frosh.

He averaged 8 knockdowns a game last year....I'd say he did a pretty good job of moving people.

Nice. I wish I had the time to right down what I thought about players and then go back and see how I fared. I really don't know what they will do in the OT area. It all depends on how they feel about Weems and Parnell. Then they will weigh that against needs elsewhere. If they draft an OT then that says a got about the swing tackles. If they don't it says a lot the other way. I think they will look harder at the OC/OG position.

- Virginia tackle Morgan Moses (scouting report) is also a possibility in the late part of round one and his value has increased after the injury to Brandon Thomas. Its not that Thomas would have been selected before Moses rather the injury precludes a team passing on Moses with the hopes of getting Thomas a round later. I’m told the Carolina Pantherscould grab Moses late in round one and many think he won’t get past the Washington Commanders in the second frame.

RECENT NEWS
Scouts Inc.'s Kevin Weidl and Steve Muench said during a "NFL Draft Blitz" segment that Virginia T Morgan Moses is a "sleeper franchise left tackle."
"I think he's going to go pretty quick in that first round," Weidl said. Muench agreed, and pointed to Moses' work against GTU's Jeremiah Attaochu as evidence: While the explosive Attaochu abused Virgina's right tackle, whenever the Yellow Jackets' star lined up over Moses he was erased. Scouts Inc. draft guru Todd McShay moved Moses up to No. 14 overall earlier this month, and NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock is a known fan. His stock is rising. Apr 19 - 4:07 PM
