Groin strains and pulls can be nagging things that refuse to go away until they get good and ready to. I had a groin pull in high school that lingered on for months before I finally fully recovered. Of course, the strains are always less severe but smart coaches usually take care to err on the side of caution with that problem. Let's just hope Mo returns when the time is right. His body will be obliged to decide first, though.

Bizarre, they seemed to have waited a week for Church's surgery rather than doing it promptly - seems like it's going to be too late to get mo back for the playoffs if they postpone surgery anymore - but, perhaps the only way he plays this season is if there is no surgery. Would have been nice to get Haden before the deadline, but he might not have actually been available.

That is what Jerry said, but it didn't seem medically sound that having surgery a week later wouldn't effect the healing time over a relatively short period, but maybe Dr. Jones is right on this one.

The impression I got was the healing is still on schedule. The surgery is only to add a plate to strengthen the break.

Garrett said Barry Church is "still a few weeks away from playing" but the forearm surgery doesn't drastically change his original timeline

Garrett seems a little more realistic IMO, maybe a week's / a game's difference..
