Rock...8-8. That's the argument. Ignoring everything else that composes a team, but Dak couldn't get his team above .500. It is a lame conclusion, but "8-8" will be their dark horse because what else gives them any perceived credence except this (their) flawed "expert" assessment?
Dak Prescott
Will make a difference if he hasn’t been ruined. The most bizarre aspect of this entire Dak subject is the fact that the guy is 4 years into his nfl career and people want to label him as a finished product. I can't fathom the thought process behind that. Besides that fact, he's been coached by one the worst coaches in the NFL for his entire career. Let's see what the guy can do with a real football coach in charge.
Dak Prescott
Have you ever bothered to think maybe 8-8 and watching the playoffs was the fault of someone else? Of course not.The reward....8-8 and watching the playoffs.
And because I love to hate on Wentz
A player can always look to get better, but let's be honest 4 years in you tend to know what you have in a player, even at QB. The truth is unless your name is Brady you typically are not winning super bowls deep into your 30s. Age 25-30 seems to be a QBs prime, and where most win a super bowl. Dak is going to be 27 before the 2020 season. Sounds so young, but that should be the midst of his prime. The most bizarre aspect of this entire Dak subject is the fact that the guy is 4 years into his nfl career and people want to label him as a finished product. Stats are facts, but I’d say they do lie. Romo had great stats, and I’m one of those who says it meant nothing because his stats never won big games to get in the playoffs or in the playoffs. The jury is still out for me on Dak. I love his leadership, but if he can lead this deep deep into the playoffs to an NFC title game, I won’t care what his stats are or if he even passes for 4,000 yards.Stats don't lie. This is why Dak is asking for top overall pay...because he's earned it.
Yep......but I'm trying to correlate the Most Accurate Passer with some kind of TEAM reward. That's all, thus making it a moot point to me, or shall I say...."Like Empty Calories". The NFL is about wins and losses.....right? Now if you're Dak's agent sitting across the table with JJ.....have at it. As for the wins and playoffs.....film don't lie. The Blame game is on this board.....ala....The Annual Fall Guy Award (2019 - Zeke....2018 - Beaz, Williams, 2017 - Dez.... and the most notable 2008 -T.O.)Have you ever bothered to think maybe 8-8 and watching the playoffs was the fault of someone else? Of course not.
A torn ligament in your throwing shoulder and a fractured finger on your throwing hand tends to hamper a QB I would think. The coaches really screwed up allowing Dak to play that game.I am not going to argue with the numbers. The Cowboys had the best offensive yards production in the league. Since the running game was inconsistent at best, Dak had to have something to do with getting all those yards.
His receivers also dropped a lot of passes. Another non-surprise. We saw it quite a bit.
However, statistics do not tell the whole story. In the end, the Cowboys went against a beat up Eagles team that had no receivers and a bad secondary and pooped the bed. A large part of that loss was on Dak. Its a game we cannot easily forget. There is no doubt in my mind Dak regressed the second half of the season. Let's hope he improves this year.
Bang, right on que. Thanks for the insight into your football acumen. The reward....8-8 and watching the playoffs.
I loved that movie as a kidDak be like.....
