Think LaPorta is a good day 2 prospect, but he isn't on the same level as Mayer and Kincaid for me.

Isnt Washington the most Complete TE? he blocks like a lineman and can catch everything.

He is. He’s a matchup nightmare and will probably have the best career out of all of them. Kincaid is a jumbo WR and Mayer is your typical, unspectacular TE1 type.

Yes sir. Top notch movement skills for a TE
I like him too, I just don’t see him as TE1.

I love Iowa players though. Always play smart and tough. I was screaming for Kittle in that draft.

But if you want a complete TE, Mayer is a much better blocker.

If you want a receiving TE, Kincaid is significantly better IMO.

You might could talk me into TE3 though.

Good luck with anyone here admitting that they were wrong. I can say that I thought Kincaid was the superior player. Thus far that has certainly not been the case. Laporte was clearly worthy of being our 1st round pick. Kid is a baller.

On these call back threads, one guy I got wrong was Tank Dell. I think someone claimed he would be the best WR in this draft and while I don't think he is the best WR from this past draft, that likely goes to Puka Nacua or Jordan Addison, he's played really, really well with 700 yards and 7 TDs.

@stilltheguru was high on him, I think.

Yea I can't say I said he'd be the best but I knew he'd be good. His superpower was his separation at the line of scrimmage. You can't press him. He had nfl level skill in that regard already

He and Stroud seemed to find a connection early and he's ridden it to a good rookie season.

I recently stated I was questioning the validity of the Cowboys’ board for LaPorta as top TE. I saw him numerous times in games and he never really stood out to me. I was wrong and units why I’m not a scout LMAO.

Laporta is off to a great start, but let’s keep in mind the importance of scheme and opportunity. Last time I looked he had over 90 targets which was like 20 something more that Kincaid and a ton more than guys like Musgrave and Mayer.
