Needless to say this was not the spot to mess up. There was no margin of error for a costly mistake by the players or coaching staff because blood was in the water with the media and fans but the Cowboys responded.

Hey Keyshawn - we certainly aren't the worst team in the league.

I never got the impression we got too cute today. We ran when we were supposed to and we were supposed to run a lot. I thought they reigned Tony in and gave him a game plan of safe and efficient throws. This buys him another week to be better because he still isn't right - but better. The game plan was very good and for the most part it was executed.

The defense gave up one big play but it's the NFL and those guys get paid too. They played with emotion and it was a game to build some confidence on, especially with Scandrick coming back. McClain could really set the tempo and make a huge impact on other players. That being said, I think the Saints probably still tear us up but against an average quarterback we can hang in there and hopefully build on this performance..

Clock management and game management at the end of half and end of the game were handled well.

We still do stupid things at stupid times. A first down at the 11 turned into a 40 plus years field goal but we also got robbed of two TD's. McClain's INT and Dez got mugged in the end zone

Lastly, I really hope we are setting teams up because pretty soon we are going to have to get the ball down the field. Maybe not next week but almost for sure against the Saints. Tony didn't have to do too much today but just to keep defenses honest we are going to have to show we can scare people down the field.

The Giants looked terrible, Cousin's may end up being bad news but they don't scare anybody and the Eagles have a tough one tomorrow night.

As Ice Cube would say - It was a good day.

I've been impressed with our team so far this year. Last week's loss against San Fran was especially frustrating because I thought the team played pretty well. That was easily the worst game of Romo's career and he made it hard for the other 45 guys. This week Romo seemed to play more of a bus driver role which -- depending on if he's officially in a decline -- may be the role we need from him for the remainder of his career.

We ran the ball extremely well, which we need to do period, but especially while Romo is working back into game condition.

Now if they can continue this all year and actually build weekly and gain consistency...well that'd be great lol

Lots to be satisfied about

the 2nd and 1 at the 2 playcalling still annoyed me, even if we scored. It was literally the exact situation we faced last week and we didn't run it. I KNOW it worked, but that doesn't mean it was the right call. We could have ensured another first down at least and then given Dez a lob or two.

Good game today. We beat up a weaker team. I'm just hoping the Super Bowl talk doesn't start after a possible 2-1 start next week.

The Titans surely weren't being touted as a weak team going into this game considering how they beat down the Chiefs at Arrowhead the first week. But, because it's our Cowboys and we won rather decisively, I can see where we got lucky with the schedulers handing the Cowboys a virtual win in week 2. Guess we lucked out.

Bottom line is because we stayed with the running game all the way through the day. Wish we had run the ball still on 2nd and goal from the 2 but overall this win was clearly due to Murray and the offensive line.

I agree.

Garrett finally managed the game for the entire team. He kept the defense off the field and rested. When we got the lead and had a sizeable lead...we kept running the ball enough to keep running down the clock. Those running plays at the end of the 3rd quarter, even though the drive stalled were important because they kept the clock moving.

And Romo did NOT play well today. He just did not play awful and didn't turn the ball over. But, we had the running game going and we stuck with the running game so we didn't need to rely on Romo whose timing was still off, his throws were poor and he was tipping some of the passing plays off.

I really believe that when it comes to Romo...less is more with him. And we did that and dominated the Titans in the victory and our defense only gave up 10 points.

Yet the talk around these parts earlier this week was how much better Tennessee was.

The less is more mantra only works if the defense is playing well as we saw today. I would have no problem seeing this sort of thing week in-week out.

I suspect you're right. We can win games with this gameplan and maybe even compete for a playoff spot, but I think it's time we look to address the future of the QB position next May.

Why do you think the defense played well?

Because they were rested and we ran far more plays than the Titans did. Part of it was flat out execution on the defense's part...but the other part was that we were not throwing it 50 times today (which we've done plenty of times when the defense was playing well, i.e. versus the Chiefs last year)....so the defense was off the field and was rested. This also forces the Titans to become 1-dimensional and that helps the defense even more.

Obviously, you can't get blown out of the gates...because then you are forced to throw...but when the game is close, less is more with Romo.

Really? Titans beat the Chiefs at home who are hanging with the Broncos at home. So how much weaker are the Titans?

I've been saying this for a while.

I want what the Packers did...Draft a QB in round 1 and sit him for at least 1 year and then have him take over.

But, we can't do that because Romo is on the books for something like $27 million next year.
