Most excited: Martin and Collins turning opposing LBs and DBs into speed bumps as the team runs right at will.
Biggest fear: O Line takes time to jell and the offense regresses, followed closely by death of the Jaylon Smith dream.
Bold Prediction: Switzer is the most impactful rookie.

That this could be a year when we stumble out of the gate.
Catch ourselves and go on a run to the SB.

Most excited: Seeing the D with all the new players, play better than most think
Biggest fear: The D being the same old D
Bold prediction: The D will play like a top 10 D by the end of the year, and help bring the SB trophy back to Dallas.

-I am most excited about watching this brand new secondary. How could this not be at the top of the list after such an overhaul?
-My biggest concern is David Irving getting off to a slow start after the suspension. I had high hopes for him to skyrocket this year. Does his return underwhelm much like D. Law after his suspension?
-My bold prediction is Maliek Collins makes the Pro Bowl and takes a step toward being one of the best defensive players in the league.

What are you most excited about for the upcoming season? What is your biggest concern for our Boys this year? What bold prediction are you willing to make?

I'm most excited about finally seeing Jaylon Smith take the field. I bought into the hype last year. Perhaps it's because I just want more from our defense. Maybe it's because he seems like a genuinely nice kid who wants this so very much. No question at all I am aching to see a true game-changing addition to our defense. I have no idea if his nerve will be responsive enough to be competitive. I don't know if he's learned enough to be effective. But I've completely bought into the hype and I'm excited to see him play. I am excited about the thought of him making our defense legitimately formidable.

My biggest concern is Dak. Not because I don't believe in him, but because I just still can't believe he did what he did last year. I REALLY hope we don't get to the end of the year and all of the flaws I'm blind to become obvious. A genuine franchise QB is the key ingredient to getting back to the Superbowl. My biggest concern is that I can't believe my own eyes. Can he come back with the same poise and precision? I'm most concerned because his play drives the future of this team more than any other player's, IMO. I believe in him way more than I expected...but my expectations for him...ugh...he simply can't fail if we are going to be successful.

My bold prediction? I think we sweep the NFC East this year on the way to a 12-4 record. I think we will see the most improvement on the defense of this team. Further, I think our defensive improvements are going to separate us from the other teams in our division.

Your off-season thoughts?
Your last prediction just answered your fear regarding Dak. 12-4 can only happen if Dak continues to progress.

I believe he will.

Most Excited - Gaithers/Switzer/Dez/Beasley. I love this combination of parts if Gaithers turns out to be somewhat as good as advertised. This works well with Dak who is excellent on short and intermediate routes. I also like the deadliness of this group in the red zone. You could go with 11 personnel here motion Gaithers out wide and have Switzer and Beasley in the slots. Teams would have to defend the fade/jump ball route to the outside with Dez and Gaithers and open up the middle which allows Beasley (severely underrated) and Switzer to do their thing.

Biggest Concern - The O-Line. I think if we stay healthy this O-Line could be better, but if not we might greatly miss Doug Free. Free had a similar problem that Romo had here...he was often criticized way too much and then to counter that, fans and critics would completely overrate him. The truth is more in the middle and if we have below average play at RT, we won't be as good as last year.

Bold Prediction - The general trend for 2nd year starting QB's that had a great 1st season as a starter si that they drop in production. The high end this season would be a Roethlisberger or Aaron Rodgers type scenario where the QB may not be more effective than his 1st season as a starter, but he's still really good and the team is still really good and other teams got worse. Of course, Dak really hasn't followed any trend. He didn't play like a rookie last year and every time critics claimed the other shoe would drop...he just played better.

My prediction is that we go to the Super Bowl and lose to the Patriots.

Most excited: Maliek Collins. I think he'll be one of the better defensive lineman in the league over the next couple of years in this scheme. He plays the most important position on the Dallas defense, and I believe Marinelli has found his man.

Biggest fear: Left guard and right tackle. Free may be one of the most underrated and underappreciated players in Zone history and he'll be missed. Leary is obviously a big piece of the missing puzzle as well and I don't believe either Cooper or Green are plug and play type players.

Bold prediction: Jourdan Lewis will be in the talks as rookie of the year and will be an OBJ magnet that will frustrate and harass him for years to come.

Your off-season thoughts?

Most Excited: Dak and Zeke. Nuff said.

Biggest concern: Can't decide between rather or not the ol can pick-up where they left off minus Free (the leader, if nothing else)/Leary and defense as a whole; can they establish an identity of their own?

My bold prediction: 19 & 0

Most excited - Dak and the new look D.

Biggest concern - Injury, as always.

Bold prediction - Dominating SB victory over the Patriots signaling a changing of the guard.

Basically, these are my thoughts as well!

Bold prediction specifics: Jaylon, our young DBs, and both Collins will have good years, and Dak will hush the sophomore slump theories

Most excited: the young DB's. I think they're going to be better picks than Charlton.

Biggest fear: Garrett. 500 doing what Garrett does best, getting cute and quitting what works best.

Bold prediction: The game IN DENVER will be more fun than any home game of the season.
