Bradford is better, but they aren't keeping him, plus they gave up their 2nd round pick next year.

They are about to sell the farm + Bradford for the #2 spot. They'll be missing draft picks for 3 years.

Not to mention, they are taking a HUGE gamble on their current offensive weapons.

I don't buy it,

Chip Kelly is either going to look like a genius, ala Jimmy, or be out of the league in another year!

But we were originally simply talking about this particular trade, in a vacuum. None of the rest of that matters. In the case of just this trade, I can see some not agreeing, but it's hardly laughable.

It's 100% laughable.

Bradford has torn his ACL twice. When healthy, he has been no better than Foles. Bradford counts nearly $13M against the cap this year, Foles not even $2M. Foles for Bradford straight up is bad. Throwing in a 2nd is ridiculous. Brandon Freaking Marshall just went for a 5th.

It's beyond crazy.....
I think it's driven by teams trying to meet the salary cap floor.

The moves have been nuts. The Cowboys haven't really done much but I'm still having a blast.

I'm wondering what spurred all this on. Is this a delayed reaction to the rookie salary cap, where it's not easier to just keep cycling through draft picks since you don't have crazy amounts of cash involved that traps you?

Did a bunch of big names just all happen to hit the market at the same time?

What are your theories?

Yes.

What I want to know is if JJ and Stephen are trying their best to get their piece of the pie from Chip?!?! I mean... we could give them Randle and a 4th for Graham and a 2nd.

As any FFL player knows, when you see blood, you rush to take advantage as fast as you can while they believe they are geniuses and everyone else is dumb.

Hhhhmmm? I like the way you think. Jerry got a lot of Jack leg in him...lol.

Rumor on NFL radio was that Philly has been talking to Tennessee to trade up for Mariotta. Tennessee not interested in Foles but interested in Bradford plus picks.

Just a rumor, but could have some legs.

I thought that was the play when I first heard the deal, but after hearing about Bradford's contract I just don't get it. What trade value does a completely injury prone QB on a 1 year, $13M contract have?

The team that wants him would negotiate a new deal.

It would be more exciting if it didn't feel like we were losing a number of pieces that will put us back further next year
