It was a sequence of miracles.I was just a mere young lad at the time, but the catch still haunts me to this day. Watching Montana march the Niner's down the field with relative ease and then what looked like a sure sack of Montana turning into "The Catch"
1) Montana somehow doesn't get sacked.
2) The ball became intangible and phased through Too Tall's arms.
3) Dwight Clark defied the laws of physics to catch it.
In true Cowboys fashion they still had a shot, and teased like they were going to pull it off only to have the fingernail tackle and the fumble on the verge of FG territory.
