so lets play a game. Tell me this. Was this a more impressive win than when the Cowboys beat the undefeated Peyton Manning Colts in 2006? The Cowboys were 5-4 and the Colts were 9-0

I'm in a position to answer this and I will say it was a better win in terms of overall team dominance and togetherness. That Colt's game Romo didn't throw any TD's, it was all the running game... Today's performance was impressive on so many levels! Yes beating the Colt's was a taller task to get the job done, but as far as the overall picture, Today was prettier.. You and I both know that a game like today was typically a game we would of played down to our opponent and we didn't which is massively impressive.

to be fair, they were decimated by Covid
True, but we've seen our team come out and act like they were the kings of the world and play down to the level of the opponent. That didn't happen today, which is a HUGE positive. It shows a change in the team's disposition.

Philly has to win out to make the playoffs…nothing would be better than for us to knock them out in the last game..:

Why did I know there would be a few to make excuses for why the Cowboys won. Covid, it was just Washington, etc…

The most impressive win in my opinion was the win in 09 at the dome in New Orleans against the 13-0 Saints. They went on to win the Super Bowl. You can’t take too much away from beating down a bad team that was depleted. We destroyed Atlanta earlier in the season and followed it up by losing to KC. You get a better gauge of the team you have by beating a great team.

We’ve been playing the majority of the season with key loses due to injury and Covid protocol.

We’ve been resilient and now that we’re getting everyone back in time, it’s starting to show up in all 3 facets of the game.

Yes Washington was decimated. Just like we were the majority of the season.

Believe me, we gave them mercy the 2nd half and with both teams 100% we give them a beating anyways.

WFT thought they were slick last year. We showed them what happens when Dallas actually has a qb
It was really satisfying watching us destroy them tonight. After beating them weeks ago and then dominating them tonight made me feel a lot better about that cheap hit on Andy Dalton last year. They took a cheap shot and knocked out our QB last year well this year we knocked out their whole team. Beat them into submission and ended their playoff chances. When Malik Turner took it 50 some yards and ten guys made very little effort to tackle him made me happy at how emotionally destroyed they were.

Haven’t seen a total dominate performance like that since the Super Bowl win over the Bills in 92’. It’s even more impressive that it was against our arch rivals and the division was already secured before the game even started. WFT was outmatched at every single position on the field and they aren’t a terrible team, they just beat the defending Super Bowl champs (Buccs) by 10 points 5 or 6 weeks ago.

Effective immediately the WFT has changed their name to WT because we just beat the F out of them.

Who care, it the depleted deadskin nameless team. If this was against a winning team, then that would actually be impressive. Dak didn't have to deal with Chase or Sweat because they have season ending injuries.

What are you talking about? Sweat played. Did you even watch the game?

Something I thought I'd never do this year, but props to the refs. I heard the commentators say this group calls the least penalties in the league. Great to see them not take a game over and *** it up like we witnessed on Thanksgiving. Also, great to see the Cowboys play disciplined football without bunch of stupid penalties...false starts, etc.

It was an absolute joy to watch the game and to participate on the forums without having to try to tolerate the legions of haters that come on here to vomit their vitriol.

Which is impossible for me to do.

That all got shut down real quick.

Go Cowboys!!!!

Please you guys are putting too much into this win. WFT had 25 players with covid and just got most of then back but they weren't able to practice.

They just played Tuesday night.

This.

Highly entertaining night. Great win. Encouraging.

But tuge trap if the players think they all have sudden Thanos power. WFT is incredibly compromised as a team. Mediocre at best.

As per your slander of Dak, SpaceC...go pound sand, you fn idiot.

The most impressive "team" since that 90s team. Top to bottom and only getting better.

so yeah.. i agree, just saying to be fair. Definition of fair: marked by impartiality and honesty : free from self-interest, prejudice, or favoritism

To be fair, no games should come with an asterisk in the win/loss record. So, applying one here is inherently unfair. Every team in the NFL has had key players miss games. The Cowboys have had key players miss games. We had key players out last night. There were no scabs or volunteers playing for Washington. We were missing a Hall-of-Fame-bound left tackle. Everybody still gets their check.

Let me give you a good example of how irrelevant "fair" is when discussing a big win. Do you remember Superbowl XXVII? Remember when Jim Kelly went down in the second quarter and couldn't finish the game? He only threw 7 passes before he was out of the game. The Bills were behind when Kelly went down, but it wasn't a blowout yet. The Cowboys ended up absolutely BLOWING out the Bills. Go back and find ANY real mention of the Cowboys winning that Superbowl with an asterisk that reads, "To be fair..."

Oh, and this win was by a wider margin than that game.

They just played Tuesday night.

One of their starting linebackers had never played in the NFL until tonight.

And Taylor is just is a wishy washy qb like Dak is. Some weeks he looks like the answer and some weeks he looks like a backup.
yeah wash is just a crappy team , saw that 2 weeks ago.
I dont think this was all that great, and it is silly to compare this team to the 92 team.

OK...find me a game with an asterisk then. I get it, I chose one against a great team missing their QB. Find me any win that didn't really count because of the other team on the field. Maybe the strike games? I can't think of a single time that the win didn't count because the other guys weren't at full health.

Games don't come with an asterisk explaining the win/loss. If they do, and that's fair, show me.
