Yes what you guys do can make him overrated to US.

Actually you must not have read the entire tread because I posted plenty of my thoughts on the subject in this thread.

As for the friends thing it was more tounge in cheek, but I do find it amusing when I see those kind of posts. I see them numerous times on extremeskins. "My friend is a Cowboys fan and he says the Commanders will go 1-15 and Dallas will win the next 10 super bowls lets all laugh at the morons Cowboys fan!!!"

So forgive me if I tend not to give credence to the "My friend" posts

Fair enough.

I have a friend that is a RedStink fan, and he always tells me that the RedStinks are going to regret this 2nd game of this coming season! He is worried, and I don't blame him, that payback is never fun!

Hey, I once went to one of them Nascar races, and St. Gibbs had a car racing...it took me 3 hours to find a lady without a blackeye! Damn! :laugh2:

:star:

Yeah im worried about the 2nd game of the season. Its a divisional game against our biggest rival and its away. Whats your point? The nascar comment makes no sense or maybe i just didnt catch the joke.

for those of you who say parcells, look at how this franchise has changed since he got here, we went from being one of the worst to one of the best teams in the NFC

'one of the best teams in the NFC' didnt make the playoffs last year....or the year before.

btw, i think the boys will be pretty good this year, depending on O line play.

It would be nice if we are able to put away the Vikings early and rest some starters in the 2nd half. Going to Dallas on 1 less day of preparation to boot is no easy task.

If anyone can pull this off, its the current coaching staff though.

This isnt the NBA, and the Commanders arent good enough to put anyone away after 30 minutes :laugh2:

Um, we did it in a couple games last year lol. Anyway I'm just not that scared of the Vikings away from Minnesota on grass. Of course nobody can be overlooked in the NFL, particularly in the world of salary cap and FA, but hey I can hope.

Your RedStink team will start the new season off at 0-2...! But, not to worry, bro, St. Gibby will send in tapes of the games to the NFL bawling about the officials! Bawling about the schedule..crying about this and that...calling people "ugly" (nice little proclaimed Holier Then Thou)! Anddddd...you got little Art over at your ExtremelySTINKY.com forum to make it all good again...see? There is hope, huh?

:dissskin: ...that's my dog...! Good boy!

Glenn's stats were pretty much on par with Moss' last year, a higher ypc, and 2 less TDs on about 20 less grabs

That is not on par. Moss had nearly 350 more yards than Glenn. Don't try to act like having 20 less grabs means anything, it only means Moss was open more since Glenn started every game just like Moss did. Moss only had 16 more passes thrown to him, there isn't any huge disparity there.

Futhermore, Moss had a higher percentage of the passes thrown to him caught, and a higher percentage of first downs. Their stats weren't on par last season, Moss had a better year.

moss = tier 1
terry glenn = tier 2

im sorry but saying glenn is on moss' level is pure homerism. moss is one of the best in the league, yea he doesnt have AMAZING hands and isnt much of a threat over the middle, but a lot of the top receivers are 1-dimensional. Randy Moss, when he was rated top3 WR in the NFL was purely a deep-threat. Santana Moss had 20 more grabs, 2 more TDs, 350 more Yards in an offense that passes just as much as the cowboys offense and he was double covered just as much if not more than glenn. Glenn also had to share receptions with Keyshawn (lead the team) and Witten (Bledsoes favorite target) while Moss only shared his receptions with Cooley. having keyshawn detracted from glenn just as much as it supported him.

lol....we have your number now and you know it. You mention Art alot, have you had bad experiences with him?

You should be thanking Gibbs for showing MERCY after the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the last game! The score easily could have been worse if we had kept pressing.

bledsoe was money up til flo got hurt. thats been repeated over and over again on this board.

yeah, but even with FLo's injury, our O didn't turn from a pretty good one, to a piece of crap one, your O in the playoffs from your O of the regular season

riggo said:
summer, i wasnt really trying to rile you up, but its is a little odd that you talk about how bad the O sucked when they were better than you boys and they did what they did to your boys last year. your boys scored 2 TD's in 2 games vs the skins last year. you should just leave the skins O alone. i would.

I'm not gonna leave the Skin's playoff offense alone, it was horrible, the 2nd most inept performance in postseason history, just because you beat us twice doesn't mean I have to ignore the obvious

news flash. O and D coordinators get paid to call plays.

newsflash, the HC is involved with everything, he may relegate one side of the ball to a coordinator, but not both like Gibby is doing

If you feel so strongly that Gibbs is overrated where are all your cowboys posters backing you up??? It seems like you are the only one.

uh, quite a few Cowboy fans have posted on GIbb's overratedness in this thread

apickmans said:
This same thread has your own fans defending Gibbs and attacking Parcells.

seems some are attacking both Gibbs and Parcells, such as myself, COwboy fans, unlike you homer stink fans, can admit the faults of their team

i thought the name of this thread was "most overrated Head coach in the present day" ????? Now hes just a little overrated? you need to decide what you wanna say.

I wasn't the 1st one to say Gibbs is overrated in this thread, I don't think he's the most overrated coach in the game, just like I don't feel Parcells is the most overrated coach in the game, but both are overrated to an extent

Explain Glenn being on par with Moss?

both eat up single-coverage, have high ypc averages, make big plays, and had similar numbers, even a minimal 16 intended passes more is a good difference, 16 X 17, but Glenn had a better ypc average than Moss, average it out, and Glenn doesn't need to catch as many balls last year as Moss and he'd have more receiving yards, but alas, it doesn't matter cuz both were pretty good last year, and why I have them on par, if there's any seperation between the 2, it's minimal

I'll give you we had Witten, although he was asked to help out in the running and passing game alot, but both Key and Cooley each had 71 receptions
