It seems to be getting overlooked that he also became the all time leader in completions through the first 100 games
For the record (see what I did there?), looks like that all-time 100-games completions number is 2,278
They said yesterday during the game that he broke the record. Are you saying he didn't? I don't know what he's up to. lol
Then there is this:
Only two QBs in NFL history with 26,000 passing yards, 190 TD passes and fewer than 100 INT through 100 starts are Tom Brady and Tony Romo.
I loved that they showed that so now if Romo and the Cowboys get a ring then is he HOF material? He has out done almost every QB to have played the game yet it is a team accomplishment that stands in the way once that is gone then what will the reasons be to question how good Tony Romo really is?

If Romo gets a SB ring I think he goes into the HOF.
If can't manage more than another playoff win or two his career, his stats won't get him in.
Yeah but he sucks and he's the problem and he's a choker and we should cut him and go draft the next Weedon or Gabbert in this year's draft, amirite Romo-haters?
I'm actually surprised how much they showed/talked about it.
I think he's going to need two SBs to get in. There's going to be a powerful anti-Tony bias that's been built up over so many years to his candidacy. It'd be nice to see him win one and get into the conversation, anyway.

I honestly think he only needs 1 because statistically, he's up there in several QB categories.
I disagree, all he needs is one SB win and he is in. When his career is over, those numbers will be out of this world good with numerous records held.
Heck, if Tony gets to the big game, that could be enough as long as the loss isn't his fault IMO. He is/will be in very good company stat wise.
Overall, if he continues to be atop records and stats, one Super Bowl appearance and a couple more deep playoff runs very well might put him in.
I hope you guys are right. As of right now, I have a hard time imagining 4 out of 5 members of a selection committee comprised of media members would vote him in based off of a single ring, but I could be wrong. By way of example, ESPN's still talking about Tony's throw to Tanner being off-target yesterday.
I think one ring gets him the credentials to qualify. I just think very few players get in with full support. Most are lucky to clear the 80% threshold. All it takes is a couple unreasonable media members who don't like Dallas to begin with to tube the nomination if he's not a clear-cut shoe-in. There's still conversation in the media as to whether or not he's even a top-10 QB in the league among his contemporaries, for crying out loud.
