Most playoff wins since 2000

Actually fix the QB and those wins would be much more.
So the main problem is Jerry and his reluctance to admit they needed an elite QB.

They had some pretty talented teams. The QB failed. Except in 2014, when an idiot ref decided to rewrite the catch rule on the spot.
that wasnt the ref, it was ruled a catch initially.
It was ny office and blandino who overturned the call and said it was not a catch.

I disagree, both dak and romo were good enough, it was just jerry hired bad HC's.
Also they had a bad defense for the whole period till quinn got here and parsons rookie year,
and for 2 years they had a good defense, but MM blew it both years.

you have to remember that the Jethro minions will always blame others for his ineptitude.

Your first sentence is essential for every fan to read. The Jones family wants us to believe it was Tony's fault or now Dak's fault. When fans buy into that they buy into the Jones' propaganda. I am not saying that the players are blameless, but the Jones are the only consistent element.
Never have they tried to make us believe that it was the QBs fault.

In facrt they stated over and over again that they felt bad that they werent able to support Romo with enough talent to win something meaningful for them.
They stated the same for Dak just that they said they dont want that to happen (what happend with Romo) again.

The Joneses do a lot of PR rubbish. well mostly everything is actual. But they never have given their QBs the fault for the failure of the franchise. One of the main reasons for failure imo.

BTW.....Dak Prescott was 7 years old and Tony Romo was a college sophomore

Which teams are the most surprising to me ?

The ones behind us.

I cant believe that there are people out there who are able to do an even worse job than bluelable and chuckles.

I have a different perspective on the chart as a whole.....focusing on the teams that's won Super Bowl over the same timeline. If the goal is the Super Bowl, the teams who haven't won since 2000 are that much different from the Cowboys with only 4 playoff wins or the Packers or 49ers with 15 or 14 wins respectively. In other words, they are getting to playoffs and failing just as the Cowboys. I'm not making excuses for our pitiful post-season record but to see the Packs and 49er records with NO Super Bowl either gives a different perspective.

You just abstracted the data more.

Of course the primary goal is to win the SB. But that doesnt mean that all others who did less in the playoffs are the same from a strength point of view.

You can carry your approach even further and say only SB wins matter, not even season wins.
Then you will have only SB winners and the rest are teams that didnt achieve anything and so are the same.

But what do you get from turning detailed information into a true/false differentiation ?
The only thing you did is that you ignored valuable information.

There is a big difference between a team that won 20 playoff games during the last ten years and one team that did only win 2.
To ignore that would not help you if you want to find out why your team is bad.

This may be true but at the end of the day, they have accomplished their goal no more than the Cowboys over the same timeline.

Skipped one in 2020’s

2023: Chiefs
2024: Chiefs
2025: Eagles

I have a different take. How many years we were in defensive top 5 after 2000, probably zero. This shows the team management doesnt get it ,
sound D plus decent O = playoff wins

You mean top 5 in defense?

Probably 3 or 4 times

Parcells had us as the number 1 D
And the 2009 D was top 5 I believe at number 2 or 3

Did the Browns change their logo? It took me about 5 minutes to figure out who was #32.

Philly has more playoff wins than the rest of the division over that time period. Disappointing.
Seeing the Eagles and Chiefs as 2 and 3 made me look up Andy Reid. He is only 3 playoff wins behind Belicheat. He is going to go down as the best coach ever.

We should have taken advantage of of that nr 1 D , was it the year of that shiny ball slipping out Romo’s hand ?
2009 , unfortunately we ran into Giants I think

Having moved to NC in 2001 and getting stuck having to watch the Panthers, that chart blew me away.

No way would I believe the Panthers have twice the playoff wins vs the cowboys since 2000.

Jerry just does a very nice job of mediocracy without having any major dumpster fires with a losing season sprinkled in from time to time.

I think Reid is already there.

Bill made his name known by only one team. He had a losing record in Cleveland.

Reid is the guy who kind of built Philly and KC when he came in.
