Most playoff wins since 2000

Actually fix the QB and those wins would be much more.
No QB would be successful with defenses we’ve had in the playoffs. The defense has be the number one problem. The main reason Philly won the SB was because of their defense. Teams have won it with a great defense despite their QB.

Having moved to NC in 2001 and getting stuck having to watch the Panthers, that chart blew me away.

No way would I believe the Panthers have twice the playoff wins vs the cowboys since 2000.

Jerry just does a very nice job of mediocracy without having any major dumpster fires with a losing season sprinkled in from time to time.
He can hype a loser like nobodies business.
Unbelievable salesman.
I can hear the laughter from his yacht all the way up here in Maryland.

with Big and LIttle Enos and their puppets at HC and you think it really would be all that much better?
ALL you have to do is look no further than the Commanders. Quinn won't win jack without Daniels. A Winner at the QB position just radiates fight throughout the team. And same in reverse. A guy that can't win the big games is demoralizing the whole team.

It was plausibly just bad luck/timing during the Romo years. But now it's just blatantly clear-- the FO can't build a playoff team.
BUT they can be relative in conversation during the year because they are generally never at the bottom of their division. They give enough wins during the season over the years for people to have hope.

I also think with all this money, players, drafts and free agents, Jerry doesn't like to put the actual work that is required to actually build something better than he is use to, and as long as he can make the news, he's happy.

Jerry is over 80 years old now. My own father worked full time until he was in his 70's because he loved to work. When he hit 80, he finally said no more, time to enjoy my life (added my mom had passed for about 12 years while he worked to keep himself busy during the day).

I think Jerry's life is football, but it's apparent other than owning the most valuable team in the NFL, when it comes to being a GM, he needs to trust someone to do the work for him and take a back seat. Will never happen though.

I used to give credit to the FO for being able to build a team good enough to make the playoffs.

But now, I think they've just been extremely fortunate to luck into two pretty good QBs with Romo the RFA and Dak the 4th RD success.

Those two guys may actually be the difference between us and WSH the last 2 decades.

As I posted many times before, Fat Andy is a great coach. Most of the Philly and KC playoff wins happened when he was the HC. The fact that he won all those playoff games with a career 59% passer (McFlab) in Philly with mostly average skill players, should tell you how good he really is. Especially as an offensive coach.
I agree 100%. And if Andy Reid became our head coach, we would still be playoff irrelevant because Jerry would take away all his power and would fall in line with all the other figure heads we have had as “head coach”.

and how many teams has Rodgers been with?

And do you think Andy would ever trust Jerry as his GM making player decisions and want to actually come here?

I had to look it up because I knew it was a short time. Reid was fired by the Eagles December 31st, 2012. Reid was hired by the Chiefs on January 10th. 2013.

I only remember that because I remember reading at the time how the Chiefs flew Andy out on their private jet for the interview shortly after he was let go and thought to myself that was quick LOL

Give credit to the Chiefs, they knew who they wanted and they made it happen. By the same token, by all accounts, Reid is a great guy who people like working under.

You're exactly right. No self respecting head coach would agree to come to Dallas to be Jerry's scapegoat & puppet.

As you said, kudos to KC for getting it right.

We have to suffer under another toothless lion "head coach" with no power.

What a complete joke
It amazes me that even some of the teams beneath us have actually exceeded us by going to a conference championship game. Like the Jaguars, lions, bears, and commanders.

Only the dolphins, browns and Cowboys haven’t been to a conference championship game this century.

Thanks again Jerry for being consistent.

So the main problem is Jerry and his reluctance to admit they needed an elite QB.

They had some pretty talented teams. The QB failed. Except in 2014, when an idiot ref decided to rewrite the catch rule on the spot.
The wins might be more, but ultimately even the best QBs need a sufficiently good team around them.

The Jones boys don’t know how to build such a team in the salary cap era!

I have a different perspective on the chart as a whole.....focusing on the teams that's won Super Bowl over the same timeline. If the goal is the Super Bowl, the teams who haven't won since 2000 are that much different from the Cowboys with only 4 playoff wins or the Packers or 49ers with 15 or 14 wins respectively. In other words, they are getting to playoffs and failing just as the Cowboys. I'm not making excuses for our pitiful post-season record but to see the Packs and 49er records with NO Super Bowl either gives a different perspective.

*Pats 6 Chiefs 2
*Bucs 2 Broncos 1
*Ravens 2 Seahawks 1
*Steelers 2 Colts 1
* Giants 2 Saints 1
* Eagles 2

Although the difference between the 49ers and the Packers and ourselves, is that over the last 25 years they look like they could win an SB and we don't!

The last Head Coach couldn't build his team upon playoff experiences and time there.

....KC is yet biggest surprise. They were no where organization. Always in bottom tier.

They hired Reid, drafted well.

Turned into Dynasty type of organization.

Yes, the FO proven itself over and over they can't build a team properly.

Just a fact that made me cringe:

The Baltimore Ravens were the "old" Cleveland Browns the last season the Cowboys won a Super Bowl (1995).

Since 1996, the Ravens have won 18 playoff games and two Super Bowls in the same time frame Dallas is 5-13 in the postseason.
