I did a little comparison of the divisions to see how they rank (just added up the rank for each team in the division):
1. NFC EAST 40
2. AFC EAST 47
3. AFC WEST 51
4. AFC NORTH 64
5. NFC NORTH 65
6. NFC WEST 71
7. AFC SOUTH 91
8. NFC SOUTH 99 (The Bucs were the highest ranking team at #19)
Let's see how they rank in terms of SB appearances and wins:
1. NFC EAST 18 - 10 (Cowboys are 8 - 5)
2. AFC EAST 15 - 6
3. AFC WEST 14 - 6
4. NFC WEST 9 - 6 (5 SB wins by the 49ERs)
5. AFC NORTH 8 - 6 (5 SB wins by the Steelers)
6. NFC NORTH 10 - 4
7. AFC SOUTH 4 - 2
8. NFC SOUTH 2 - 0
Like I said before, the Cowboys have had the most success and they have don it playing in the toughest division in football.
