1. Dez is no longer elite WR. NE has proven you don't really need true #1 if QB play is exceptional. So I am not totally alarmed that he is tier 2 WR at this stage. What does concern me is $17mill price tag.

2. Teams have adjusted to Dak. He might not be top QB we all hoped for but I still see guy fighting to very end. Thats good enough for me as long as their RB & DEF is good.

3. Jaylon Smith was really bad. I can't believe people aren't talking about this. Maybe its just such a feel good story no one wants to discuss it. I watched him very closely. Can't shed blockers, was sitting back and waiting for RB to initiate contact. Might be seeing some muscle fatigue as I saw him literally crumble to ground chasing RB. To be fair Lee and entire defense looked slow and tackled poorly. But I do believe this defense needs Hitchens back.

4. Tank is really good when healthy.

5. I am done with Jeff Heath.

6. BYRON JONES SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS and is afraid to tackle anyone.

Sorry this couldn't be more positive but this is where I am at right now.

You forgot #6

I think this is everything that most are discussing, lol. The whole team laid an egg, except Lawrence. I agree that outside the red zone that Dez isn't a top 5 receiver at this stage. Part of it may be Prescott and the offensive game plan not giving him routes to get him open. With regards to Prescott he's good enough to win in this league, but he faced some brutal defenses these first two weeks and has had little time to settle in.

The secondary played poor, they really need some veteran leadership right now.

Dez is fine. We are just way too predictable. We do need the type of coaching/leadership that would demand he run better and more consistent routes.

Dak didn't really play horrible to me. Denver took away his biggest asset, Zeke. I just don't think the offense and coaching can make adjustments. It's almost as if you take away something that Garrett/Linehan wanted to focus on, they just accept it, and hope it works next week.

The whole defense played bad but I've seen a few posters call out Jaylon. Maybe I just didn't notice it but I felt the biggest culprits were the defensive line, who couldn't stop anyone today and outside of Lawrence early, no one could pressure the QB. The Secondary is one of the bottom 5 secondaries in the league and many of us knew that going into the season. Byron is always late. Heath is a zero. Brown is a grabber. Lewis looks a step slow but he also deserves some slack since today was his first game action in quite a while. Woods and Frazier seem lost.

Sure, but it worked because they have the talent in the secondary. Most teams don't.

Where were these threads last year when Baltimore, Philly and Washington tried the same thing and Dak beat them?

Literally every team after the Chicago game except Detroit tried the SAME strategy and we beat nearly all of them.
Those threads didn't happen because of better game-planning and better execution.
That's not happening now. I thought this was an unspoken, obvious thing...

We may have the worst fans in the NFL

How about actually refute his points.

Because they are all legitimate expect for maybe the Smith one. I mean technically he's still a rookie and coming off a major knee injury. One game against the Giants didn't suddenly wipe away the fact that the guy is still very, very green and likely still trying to get over the hump mentally from having a devastating knee injury.

He's one of a few that you can actually come up with a legit excuse for in this game.

The execution was better BECAUSE THE DEFENSES WE WERE PLAYING WERENT AS GOOD.

How are you not getting this? Great defenses usually beat even the best offenses.

How are you not getting that the gameplan was trash and they never even tried to establish anything other than what they weren't great at?
Okay bud... why don't you just say this:
If the Cowboys get to the Bowl, they can't beat Denver. They're better. Their D is too good to beat.

I don't think beating the lousy cardinals would change much.

We will be favored in at least our next 5 games, and if we win all of those we won't be an underdog again until we play in Atlanta on November 12th.

So if the board's criteria is that we'll have to beat a team we shouldn't before giving the team credit it's gonna be a while. This was the toughest game on the first half of the schedule.

So we shouldn't be able to beat some teams... Nor be even competitive.
Not good baby.

I agree, if we play an elite defense in the playoffs or SB (NY, Seattle, Denver) we could be in trouble. We beat NY easily largely because their offense is terrible.

But fortunately, there are about 25 teams in the league with no hope of stopping our offense as we saw last year.

They won't be favoroed vs the chiefs or packers. Plus both the games should be tougher than Today.
