Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I hate reading about in TC.

No kidding man, that's like reading "the defense wanted to introduce Zeke to the NFL so they went after his knees". or "the defense welcomed rookie Dak Prescott to the NFL by repeated blows to the head"

Take it easy fellas, let other defenses welcome Zeke to the NFL. No need to put our players at risk during training camp.

I will not be surprised if Dallas crushed it with this pick and he brings some trade value in the future.

6'0, 220, explosive, and intelligent.
Possibly this years version of a lower division kid like the Ariz Cardinals got in the Johnson kid from FCS level U. N. Iowa

Alfred Morris is the best interview I've ever heard. That dude is hilarious, and what a great family he must come from. Just happy to be alive and playing football.

And how do you not like a guy who still drives a '91 Mazda that he bought from a pastor for two dollars? He guaranteed that his kids will drive that car one day.

That's awesome. I guess he won't be one of the players who ends up broke after he retires from the NFL.

Sean Lee used to have epic battles with Demarco Murray. Guys are always at risk.

Instead of worrying about there being contact...take note of the intensity of hitting taking place in camp, from the start. People are hitting the other side of the ball...and hard.

I like the thought that this camp isn't more cerebral in nature, but football intense from it's beginning. I'm not worrying nearly as much now...there will be injuries. That's football.

Just 2 days ago we had a poster post a thread about how soft our practices are and a lot of ppl agreed with him. Now people are saying tone down on zeke. Idk what makes ppl happy anymore

Then when there are scores of missed tackles during the season people will wonder why... maybe because the defenses so rarely get to actually practicing tackling people. I'm thrilled that when our guys get a chance they are actually hitting people.

Exactly. Can't talk about camp cupcake but then want us not to hit the rookie because he is important

That is not what Garrett was talking about. The "thud" means you hit, but don't take a teammate to the ground. Sounds like a few players did not follow through on his direction.

I think a middle ground is good. Tackle the guy. I just don't like the defenders putting a little sauce on the hits in practice. I don't like hearing about the defense bragging about who hit Zeke the hardest in practice. I don't want a competition between the defenders on who can lay the wood on Zeke to welcome him to the NFL. Tackle him like you would tackle Morris, or Dunbar, or Smith or whoever else is running the ball.

Like I wouldn't want some rookie DB going after Dez in practice to make a name for himself to make the team. I agree with every practice and every play all the players are at risk but I just want them to be responsible and not make the risk more than it needs to be.

That has not been verified

You're in the Zone bro; where opinions and speculation are stated as fact...until they turn out to be incorrect (at which point they are forgotten about and never spoken of). BUT, when they happen to right, you better believe you'll be hearing about it.

It's a pretty easy, self serving way to be.

Complaining. Criticizing.

Seriously. That's what people enjoy doing. People absolutely love to feel like they know better than the folks on the team and the folks running the team.

It's like that in many workplaces also. People LOVE to constantly criticize the way the things are done...act like they know better than all of the owners of the company, CEO's, etc. But most of the time those types have no actual aspiration of being in a position where they're actually running things (because then they'd actually he held accountable). It's an interesting thing to observe.

I would say Dunbar is the man out.

Its a good problem to have, Elliott and Morris are locks, with Mcfadden, Dunbar, and Jackson vying for 1 maybe 2 spots. What a change from last season! Jackson is going to have to have a lights out preseason to push anyone off the roster or show he can play on special teams. Its an uphill battle for him as he only had 1 productive college season on a very poor low level program. Mcfadden and Dunbar have already proved they can be productive when theyre on the field, so if theyre healthy at the end of camp itll be tough to part with either one. A tough call at RB glad I dont have tomake the decision.

Nobody actually said they were doing that. They were tackling him. The article I read didn't mention anything about defenders bragging or competing to hit him hardest. Is there an article about that?

This has definitely been my biggest negative experience with the zone. Everybody swearing they know what players will do or how they will preform before they ever step on the field and when they are completely off base you never hear a whisper

Welcome to fandom. Its nothing new and not Cowboys exclusive by a long shot. Ive posted on my Cowboys boards as well as many general NFL boards featuring fans from all teams. Its always the same. Sometimes it takes a while to notice

Eagles fans are the worst. They is usually a very large population of whats known as Negladelphians on NFL boards

It's very annoying. I expect it from eagles fans but you would hope our own would be more reasonable
