The friend that first took me to that biker bar, Lil Sturgis, told me it would be cool, just don't act a fool or do something stupid. I told her, you know me, I'm about having a good time, not a hard time. The place was pretty rowdy, but things were pretty cool most of the time. I had been going there for a couple months and one night I see Billy, the bartender, coming out from around the bar shouting at somebody. I couldn't hear what he shouting at first, it was pretty loud and crowed as usual, but then see he was walking up to some dude.

I don't know what the guy had said or did, but Billy had cut him off and came around the bar to kick him out. Billy wasn't a big guy, maybe 5'8"-5'9" kinda wiry and the guy was my size 6'1"-6'2" probably about 230lbs, and well I can't say what was said. The language was well......... colorful. The guy's buddy was trying to get him out of there, but the guy just kept mouthing off. I turned to one of the bikers next to me and said "should we go back up Billy?" He kinda smiled and said "Nah, Billy got this"

The idiot, reached towards his back pocket and then boom! It was just a flash, Billy punched him absolutely square in the face, I was really surprised he didn't break his hand. The guy went down fast and hard, just like someone flipped off a power switch, the guy was out before he ever hit the floor. The entire bar collectively just goes "OOOOOOOOOooooooo" Billy is mad, kicks the unconscious guy's ribs a couple times hard as hell. The whole while he yelling "You don't come into my bar and disrespect me, try and call me out and then you try to pull some girly move by going for a knife." Those weren't his exact words, but that was the gist  Billy reaches into the guy's back pocket and pulls out about a 4" Buck lockblade, yelling that "It's my kinfe now, you little son of a gun" and some more assorted phrasing. The whole bar is cheering Billy on, Billy kicks the guy a couple more times for good measure and yells to his buddy to drag his sorry carcass out of there.

During all this, the guy's buddy never moved, had the look of embarrassment and fear and knew full well what woulda happened if he tried jumping in. The dude drug his buddy's body out of the bar as quick as he could, the guy was still out cold, looked like he was dead. Towards the end of the night, I buy a shot for me and Billy and ask him what happened, he just said "Some independent jerk that thought he was a tough guy" I laughed. :lmao:

While I was driving home, couldn't help but think that that dude broke the rules, "Don't act a fool and don't do something stupid."

1% Alert! 1% Alert!

Just drove down a very busy street where I live. Fairly industrial. There’s an old gas station that was repurposed as a body shop. As I drove by, saw the unmistakable colors and logo of a Bandido messing around with his bike under the covered area where the old gas pumps would’ve been.

It was kinda awesome. Spotting these dudes for me is like spotting Bigfoot or witnessing a UFO. Just real and a lil more prevalent.

Like I said in a previous post, my Parole Officer buddy said biker gangs were on the rise for whatever reason. It’s definitely becoming more prevalent, especially this chapter of Bandidos.

The first Bandido I met was at a ZZ Top concert in Houston when I was in college in the early 80's. It was during the Eliminator Tour and it was ZZ Top's homecoming and they had 3 soldout shows. I tried and failed to get tickets, because they sold out too fast, but my girlfriend's dad had got a pair of tickets. Her dad asked if I would take her little brother, 13 years old, to the concert since he had really wanted to go, but didn't think he would want his dad to take him. Of course I said yes.

We had tickets to the second show, floor seats about halfway back from the stage, right on the center aisle, pretty decent seats. They brought in extra security for the second show, during the 1st show, so many people rushed the stage and quite a few got injured. We get to our seats and there's a really big dude right in front of me and I immediately see the Bandidos patch on the back of his jacket. A couple minutes go by and I hear him yell "*****" and start looking around, he turns around and asks if I have a lighter, since his old lady had his. Luckily, I had one and he sparks up and passes it to me, my GF's little bro, asks for some, I told him no, his dad would have my head. So, I'm standing with him blazing talking about ZZ Top, told him I didn't care if they played any of the new stuff, I wanted to hear the old stuff. He slaps me on the shoulder, saying that the new stuff was poop. I went to school in Galveston, so we talked about partying down at Surfside, a popular beach and one many bikers liked to go to and told him my then brother in law was in Gypsy MC, so we kinda bonded. His old lady comes back and he introduces us and tells her "they're cool", when he said that I looked over at little bro and we both smiled ...... "we're cool"

Joan Jett was the opener, the dude never stood up, looked bored as hell. When ZZ Top came out he was going crazy, like the rest of us. When they played one of their new songs he would sit down like he could care less, but when they played an old song he was up on his chair jumping up and down. The dude was big, I was 6'1" 230lbs at the time and he made me look small and he kinda looked like a little older heavier version of Opie from SOA, kinda wild hair and big beard. He was stressing out that folding steel chair jumping up and down, it looked like it was gonna buckle at any moment, thought I was gonna get crushed. Like I said, they had extra security and things were pretty tight, they were trying to keep people from standing on the chairs. At one point, I saw some security guy, literally and physically yank people off the chairs while he walked down the aisle. Security guy gets to us and starts to reach and then looks up and stops, looked away and started to walk off. I start laughing my rear off and yell at him, "go ahead yank him off that chair!" Security guy gets PO'ed and tells me to shut up as he stormed away. Hilarious! :lmao2:

It was an awesome show, we all walked out together singing ZZTop songs playing air guitar. It's amazing how people get out of the way from some big, bearded Bandido, just say excuse me and they're more than happy to move. He says maybe we'll see each other at Surfside sometime and party again, never did see him again though. On the way home, my GF's little bro was just gushing, it was the coolest night ever. He got to see ZZ Top, hanging out with a biker, blazing(even though I never let him touch it), got to pretend he was a grown up for a few hours. I told him under any circumstances, do not tell his dad anything he saw or he'd never be allowed out of the house again and I probably wouldn't be allowed to date his sister. I also told him not to tell his sister, because if she got mad at him or me, she would use it against him. He promised and never did tell either one.

Kick *** story. Some of these guys are pretty stand up, just hanging with a rough crew. Helluva story and thanks for sharing!

Not all are bad. At the same time, a lot they do to support the club are rather stealthy.
