I got my wife the LG Chocolate Touch and she loved it. Me not so much, decided to send mine back and get the Droid.

It looks like a cool phone.

I'm considering getting the Droid seeing I have Verizon. I wish Verizon offered the iphone because that's the phone I want but I hate AT&T's call quality. If you go to Youtube they have alot of reviews on the Droid.

A buddy of mine has it and it is awesome. I hate phones. I especially hate them with all kinds of bells and whistles. I just want it to be a phone. I don't use my camera, or MP3 player on my phone and I do not own a regular MP3 player either so it would be a cool feature. I just hate that stuff. I have to admit, I would get his phone.

I was back and forth between the Chocolate Touch and the Droid. I like the Touch, but I'm sort of regretting not getting the Droid now. At the time, for me, it was way too much phone than what I needed.

Yeah, a couple of my friends have the HTC Touch with the droid software and they love. I just don't know anyone who has the droid.

Just read a report that two new iphones are on the way one for Verizon. I've been hearing rumors for awhile that Apples exclusive deal with AT&T could be coming to an end hope it's true.

You had to pay the difference for the Droid too, no?

I'm past my 30 days and the upgrade price for the Droid now is $550.

Yeah, I had to pay the difference, but since I was still had Alltel cell phones and rate plans, I got the droid for $100 for switching over to Verizon. I told them I was thinking about switching over to T-Mobile.

They even let me keep my old alltel rate plan!!

Also, my wife had sent in the $50 rebates on both the chocolate phones, and the Verizon rep said not to worry I could keep it. So I got the droid really for $50.

Check ebay, I found a droid for $250 before I just called and decided to send my phone back.

I have a Nexus One. (The phone sold by Google) It has the same Android OS. I love it.

Awesome! I won't get the phone until tomorrow, but I can't wait. I Watched alot of videos on Youtube and read alot about it. Seems you can do alot with this phones.

When you get it, there is a free browser called xScope Lite. Get it. Far and away the best browser on the Android. There are two versions, the free one and the pay one.

All you really need is the free one, but you can upgrade. It is actually is three different apps in one. It's a browser, file manager, and app killer. (force closes apps that don't have "exit" buttons) If I remember correctly the free version has the app killer, but it doesn't function unless you upgrade. I just have a different app for that, but I'm thinking about upgrading and just remove the other app.

There is a game called HomeRun Battle 3D. It's like $4.99, but worth it. I love it. I have a few other games / apps that I enjoy too if you are interested.

If I didn't have an iPhone - I'd have the Droid.

Only thing I don't like is the fragmented OS builds. That's only asking for trouble.

I've read that Google is moving towards rectifying that - good move.

I'm the same way, but that's why I like the iPhone. While I hate phones, I love listening to music. To me the iPhone is an iPod with a phone, not a phone with an iPod.

I don't buy apps or any of that crap.

I got a somewhat-similar Samsung Moment (slide out keyboard, capacitive screen, Android) on Sprint for Christmas, and ended up returning it. The screen is great, but I just didn't like and couldn't get used to sliding out the keyboard to type, and I don't like typing on touchscreens. I guess I'll have to at some point, but I just can type so much faster on my Blackberry-style phone with a full physical keyboard.

In looking for new phones lately, though, it seems like 75% of the new ones about to be released run Android. It's definitely going to be a huge player, and maybe even the leader, very shortly.

Have you guys seen the new phone Sprint has coming out? Right now it'll be the best phone out there, at least specs-wise.

I personally think the HTC HD2 is better. I got a chance to test both phones up close before they came out. The screen resolution on the HD2 looked much better to me and the keyboard on the Droid was a bit of a letdown. I found it easier to text on the HD2 touch screen than the Droid's keyboard.

It's awesome.

pretty much similiar to the Iphone, but I personally think it's faster than the Iphone. The browser on it is really fast.
