Since Elllis and Glover no longer fit in the new 3-4, why not trade which ever one buffalo would want for Moulds? Moulds and Bledsoe had great chemistry in Buffalo, and he would be a true number one. I like Keyshawn, but Bledsoe doesn't. Besides Moulds is a much better teammate than Owens, and by trading for Moulds we wouldn't need to pay for a signing bonus.

How old is Moulds? If he could stick here for at least 4 good years I'd say that might be a good idea. I don't want to add another 30+ year old WR if he's going to take snaps from Crayton or Copper.

Nope.

Reward a team for getting rid of a headache by giving them Glover or Ellis?

Nope.

Maybe we can get Ricky Proehl from Carolina. He's only 37, but our defense managed to make him look like Jerry Rice in his prime.

I know, I was being sarcastic. We don't need to be farming Retirement Communities for wideouts.

Unfortunatley our Qb is old. Bledsoe had 2 years tops to perform at his current level before his phsical skills errode. Why not draft McNeil and the best available guard in the second round. That would provide him a descent line. Mould is still a top 10 wide reciever in the league. By trading for him, Bledsoe would have instant chemistry with him and Glenn. Unfortuantely we will get no higher than a 3rd for Ellis and a 4th for Glover. We could cut Keyshawn because Moulds is better. This would also ensure that Crayton keeps getting his much needed snaps.

Just like he had "instant chemistry" with Peerless Price?

Javon Walker in Green Bay is acutally a more feasible option, he is much younger and we could traded Ellis/Glover straight up.

No way. GB wouldn't give up Walker for Glover AND Ellis, much less either.

What I meant to say was that Bledsoe doesn't throw to Keyshawn because he doesn't get seperation. He doen't feel comfortable throwing to someone who isn't wide open. That is why Glenn recieves most of the passes even in the redzone. As for Walker, Green Bay will not trade a young franchise reciever. And if they do, something is obviously still wrong with his knee. Teams will not trade for players that they know that they can get for free. Thats why I don't think the Cowboys can get much for Glover and Ellis. People want T.O. so bad, but he is only going to rip this team apart if we start losing again. That is why i asked about Moulds. He is as comparable to Owens with much less backage and by trading we would save on a signing bonus.

He also might be a FA, so if we trade for him he would have to negoitate a contract with us first. And who is to say GB wont just let him walk...

1) Moulds is going to be cut because he has a 8m cap # for 2006. Trading for him would not only be needless it would be foolish since you'd take on his bloated contract.

2) Moulds is a #1 receiver at this point in his own mind only. He is VASTLY overrated, if he doesn't get the ball enough, he pouts. This year after Lee Evans caught 3 first half TD's against the Dolphins, Moulds pulled himself out of the game because he was jealous. Later he wanted to go back in but the coaches wouldn't let him. Buffalo went on to lose the game 24-23. He jumps on EVERY catch which limits his YAC and he's no where near the blocker KJ is. He is no longer a serious deep threat and is no longer the #1 in Buffalo. Lee Evans is. I'd much rather have KJ.

3) David Givens will be an UFA. He is better than Moulds in every way, better hands, more willing to go over the middle, a better blocker, younger, cheaper, WAY better attitude.

Homerun Trot you bring up a good point. I didn't realize that Moulds contract was back loaded. I also did not know that he was a discipline problem. I still think Moulds would be better than Keyshawn. I know Moulds didn't make the Pro Bowl this year, but he did make with with both Bledsoe and Flutie. I'm just saying that if Owens is a possibilty, we should take Moulds instead.
